Annecy Animation Showcase at Animation Day in Cannes

The 5th edition of this highly-anticipated event will feature the Annecy Animation Showcase, featuring five animated works-in-progress from across the globe, presented by their creative teams in Cannes to prospective sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers.

This year’s selection, selected by Annecy Film Festival, will present works from India, Japan, Brazil, France, and Spain. Attendees can expect to discover new animated works teeming with color, originality, and expert use of varied animated techniques, from 2D to hand-painted backgrounds and stylized rotoscoping methods. In addition to the showcase, two panels dedicated to independent animation and Asian-European collaborations will be hosted at the Marché, in partnership with Annecy and Ties That Bind, the Europe-Asia Hub for all film professionals.

Launched in 2019 in partnership with the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Animation Day quickly became an important program for the global animation filmmaking community in Cannes, providing talks, panel discussions, screenings and networking events all dedicatd to animation and the animation community. 13th Annual International Film Finance Forum

Winston Baker, leading global producer of entertainment conferences, will be hosting the 13th annual International Film Finance Forum, in partnership with the Marché du Film, on the Main Stage of the Palais des Festivals during the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday 20 May 2023

The International Film Finance Forum will bring together leading industry executives from around the world to discuss and gain insight on the latest trends, shifts in the market and for networking. The afternoon allows attendees and speakers to learn from visionaries who are bringing game-changing film strategies to the forefront of the industry.

Winston Baker has announced three fireside chats with distinguished filmmakers to share their extensive knowledge of the industry, including: Gurinder Chadha, Claudia Bluemhuber and Deon Taylor

The speaking faculty for this year’s Forum also include those behind films such as Tár, White Noise, Moonfall, Tesla, Black Mass, The Old Man & The Gun, The Beach Bum, Talk to Me, A Dangerous Method, Fast Charlie, Z for Zacharia and many more.

Conversations will focus on film, television, finance, co-productions, sales & distribution, the evolving landscape of consumer trends and creative capital.
