Transliminal Messaging was composed for my good friend Dr. Maddy Tarantelli and the University of Northern Iowa Horn Choir. Maddy requestedapiecethattouchesonideasofnonconformity,openmindedness,andacceptance.I titledtheworkTransliminalMessagingasaway to celebrate concepts of openness, receptiveness to ideas, and vivid imagery when transitioning between conscious and unconscious states of being. While not directly related to the idea of non-conformity, these conceptsdoaligninthemissionofacceptance, something that the world needs more of right now.
