BannerYear (2026) isacelebrationof big, joyful,shatteringchange.Thereisaconflictof messaging:whenfacingpainor tragedy,weareoftentold thatthingschangequickly—butwhenrepairing,whenrebuilding,whenaddressingsystems,we aretold thatchangemustbeslow,incremental.Whilethereissometruthinthatdichotomy(itiseasiertounmakethanto make,) historyteachesusthattheworkof dedicatedandcollaborativevoices, thosewilling toweatherthequestionsthat anychangebrings,canbringaboutanewworldvirtuallyovernight.Whenwehopeforchange—whenweworktowardsit— wedonotalwayshavetosettlefortheslowdrip:whenneeded,wecanbetheflood.
