ASEAN Ambassadors visit EJA Accompanied by the Chargée d’Affaires of the Embassy of Singapore, Dr Tan Lian Choo, six ambassadors of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) visited the construction of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz on March 28th. The visitors were the Ambassador of Indonesia, Surdaryomo Hartosudarmo; Ambassador of Malaysia, Dato' Sudha Devi; Ambassador of the Philippines, Eva G. Betita; Ambassador of Myanmar, Thiripyanchi U Tun Nay Lin; Ambassador of Vietnam, Nguyen Van Kien and Ambassador of Thailand, PItchayaphat Charnbumidol. In addition to the visit, the ambassadors attended an EJA progress presentation conducted by Institutional Director, Ms. Luciana Sandri. Dr Tan Lian Choo of the Singapore Embassy received a commendation from Monsignor Romulo Neves Balestero in a ceremony at the Legislative Assembly of Espírito Santo.

Governor Renato Casagrande visits Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz The Governor Renato Casagrande and State Secretary of Development Nery De Rossi visited the facilities of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) on January 14th. They were welcomed by CEO of Sembcorp Marine Group Mr. Wong, EJA President Martin Cheah, EJA VicePresident Tay Wee Lye, EJA Finance Director Mr Siew Kam Onn and Institutional Director Ms. Luciana Sandri. Before visiting the construcion, the Governor and the Secretary attended a project progress presentation made by Ms. Sandri.

Government Delegation to Singapore An official Government Delegation of Espírito Santo visited the shipyards of the Sembcorp Marine Group, in Singapore, in order to see the facilities of this type of venture. The delegation was composed of ANTAQ Director, Fernando Fonseca; Deputy Secretary for Economic Development of Espírito Santo, Cristina Vellozo; Aracruz Mayor, Marcelo Coelho; Secretary for Development of Aracruz, Eugênio Cunha; Aracruz Attorney, Américo Mignone; Technicians of the Espírito Santo Institute of Environment and Water Resources; and representatives from Espírito Santo Pilotage. They were accompanied by Institutional Director, Ms. Luciana Sandri, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, Ms. Lani Tardin.
