Graduation of the first EJA class of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Institute The graduation ceremony of the first class of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz's Technology Transfer Program at Ngee Ann Polytechnic Institute of Singapore was held on November 4th. The trainees had the opportunity to study at Ngee Ann Polytechnic Institute, a worldwide reference in training manpower for the naval industry. After the exchange program at Ngee Ann Polytechnic Institute and internship at Jurong Shipyard of Singapore, the new class of technicians will return to Brazil early 2014 to work at EJA, applying the acquired knowledge about the naval industry, unprecedented in Espírito Santo. A new group of students has been selected for 2014. Twentyeight students from the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES) will stay 12 to 15 months in Asia for the qualification process.

Training and Exchange in Singapore

Official visit of the Singapore Embassy to EJA

EstaleiroJurong Aracruz invests in the development of its employees by promoting training and information exchange with the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore.

Representatives of the Embassy of Singapore, Charge d'Affaires Minister Counselor Lian Choo Tan, ,and Sumaya Baqavi, Second Secretary of Political Affairs, visited the site and the EJA's office in Barra do Sahy, Aracruz. They were received by Institutional Director Luciana Sandri, who made a presentation of EJA. Aracruz's Mayor, Marcelo Coelho and Economic Development Secretary of Aracruz, Eugênio Cunha also participated in the visit.

Employees from the areas of Occupational Safety, Information Technology, Human Resources and Engineering were sent to learn the routine of the shipyard and naval construction, improve technical content and develop skills, as well as transfer technologies. For the next months, 24 engineers are already selected for training in Singapore.
