ABOUT THE EVENT
In 2007, the Junior League of Lexington launched the Holly Day Market as an event to raise funds to further the Junior League’s mission to advance women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. The Holly Day Market brings unique vendors from across the country to Lexington for one holiday weekend to give shoppers the opportunity to “shop for a cause.”
This special charity event has become one of Kentucky’s largest holiday markets with more than 3,000 shoppers and 80+ merchants attending annually!
The success of the 2025 market helped the Junior League of Lexington give $7,500 in grants to the following nonprofit organizations in 2026.

The Junior League of Lexington:
101 Years of Serving the Bluegrass
Founded in 1924 by 10 women dedicated to volunteerism, the Junior League of Lexington (JLL) celebrated its centennial year of impact in the Lexington community in 2024. For over 100 years, JLL has promoted voluntarism and community improvement, supporting over 130 local nonprofits with both time and financial resources. The JLL has been a founding contributor for many key organizations such as Baby Health Services, the Lexington Children’s Theater, Chrysalis House, and the Hope Center Recovery Program for Women.
Each year, JLL members contribute over 3,500 volunteer hours across central Kentucky, from hands-on help to board service. Alongside community service, JLL empowers women through initiatives like the Lexington Junior League Horse Show and the annual Holly Day Market.
