Tournament Rules and Contests

BRAMBLE FORMAT:

Each player tees off and the team selects the “best drive.” Each player moves his/ her ball to that spot and continues to play his/her own ball, stroke-play style, until each has holed out, producing four individual scores.

SCORING:

Once the hole is completed, the best ball of the 4 is recorded for the team score. All handicaps will be entered at 50% with a maximum of 18 for men and 24 for women. Tournament Prizes will be awarded as follows:

• Low Gross

• Low Net

• Second Place Net

• Third Place Net

Putting Contest: Putting Green between Hole #1 & #10

If you buy an Eagle Package you can participate in the Putting Contest. This will be going on all day throughout the tournament. As your foursome comes around to the putting green by Hole #10 and Hole #1 you can participate. Participants who hole a 15-foot putt will be eligible to participate in a shoot-out on the 18th Green after tournament play at 4:30 PM. The winner will get the latest Scotty Cameron 2023 Super Select Newport Putter 2.

Play Your Best Hand Challenge: Holes #2 & 15

If you buy an Eagle Package you will be handed three playing cards before the tournament starts. You will have two chances on the course to earn 2 more playing cards if you get a par 3 on Hole #2 and Hole #15 (volunteers will hand these out before you move to the next hole. Players are allowed to redraw a new card with the JA staff after the tournament for an additional $10 donation, before handing in their final hand. After the tournament we will make an announcement and the player with the best hand will win $200 Black Rock Country Club Shop Gift Card

Roll the Dice Game: Hole #6

If you buy an Eagle Package you can participate in the roll the dice game on Hole #6. This game is set up on a par 5 hole of the golf course. Each person will roll the large inflatable dice to see what it lands on. Whatever number the dice lands on will corelate to what advantage the player will have on the course. The advantages include using a mulligan on the hole, using a gimme putt on the hole, or teeing off at the red tee.

• Golden Ball Challenge Each foursome will be given a Golden Ball for the competition. The Golden Ball MUST be played in rotation among participating players in the foursome during the course of normal play. The order of play of the Golden Ball will be determined by your team. Once a rotation is established, please keep the Golden Ball in the same rotation of players throughout the round. Foursomes that keep the Golden Ball after the round will EARN A STROKE from their net score.

TOURNAMENT SUSPENSION/CANCELLATION (WEATHER-RELATED):

Should severe weather or other circumstances beyond the control of the host and Black Rock and Country Club result in suspension or cancellation, BRCC, and JA Golf Classic Committee the right to shorten the tournament play (e.g., nine holes to count). All special contest prizes will be raffled off.
