“The Gilman Scholarship provided me financial support that allowed me to pursue my passions in marine science. It also gave me an additional support system while abroad and then as a returner adjusting back to campus. Now, the Gilman network keeps supporting me by providing webinars and advice to navigate the job search post-graduate.” —Stephanie Letourneau ’20 Environmental Science Ecuador

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship provides students with limited financial means to pursue study abroad. Every year, a handful of Juniata students receive this prestigious national award. In addition to the Gilman Scholarship, which is a national grant, the College offers multiple funds and endowments to enable students to study abroad because we know that study abroad directly supports the College’s mission to empower our students to develop the skills, knowledge, and values that lead to a fulfilling life of service and ethical leadership in the global community.
