The Boltons
We were commissioned to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of this charming townhouse in the Bolton Conservation Area. The project involved significant structural modifications, including levelling the rear of the property, adding a side extension, and fully opening up the lower ground floor.
Collaborating closely with the design team led by Blyth Collinson, we successfully delivered this project in just under a year, much to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Our role encompassed every aspect of the build, from managing the intricate, detailed design drawings to sourcing stunning book-matched marble for the interiors.

THE BOLTONS
Upper Phillimore
We take immense pride in our involvement in this extensive 10-month restoration project alongside Blyth-Collinson Interiors. Every aspect, from the installation of a new roof to the precision in levelling floors and the meticulous creation of custom oak joinery, was methodically planned and executed. The result is a residence that seamlessly blends functionality with beauty, transforming into a unique and luxurious space.
Our commitment extended to upgrading all plumbing and electrical systems, including the implementation of new underfloor heating throughout the entire home. This comprehensive overhaul ensures that every system operates at peak efficiency and safety, adhering to the highest standards of performance. Furthermore, all chimneys underwent restoration, and fireplaces were replaced, featuring brand new hearths and exquisite antique marble surrounds. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the remarkable transformation of this home.

UPPER PHILLIMORE
Copse Hill
Thornhill Shann is proud to have delivered a meticulously crafted new build home in Wimbledon, London, in collaboration with David Morehen Architects and The Curated Os. Thornhill Shann led the construction with precision, ensuring every element—from structural integrity to the finest finishes—was executed to the highest standard. The team’s deep experience with complex builds and heritage detailing is evident throughout: from the grand oak-panelled entrance hall and double oak and crittall doors to the installation of antique marble fireplaces and trompe l’oeil artwork. Custom joinery, intricate raised panelling, and carved embellishments reflect Thornhill’s commitment to timeless craftsmanship. The result is a beautifully constructed, light-filled home that pairs classical elegance with modern liveability—a testament to Thornhill Shann’s expertise in building homes of lasting quality and character.
Notting Hill mansion house
We utilised cranes to introduce structural steels, illuminating this once-dark, spacious lateral flat in the heart of Notting Hill. Our skilled joiners adorned the property with exquisite bespoke oak joinery. Addressing structural issues, we replaced defective lath, plastered walls, and ceilings, and crafted striking double doors designed by Blyth-Collinson Interior Designers. A Chevron floor, set atop a robust soundproof system, graces the space.
Collaborating with Blakes, we sourced and installed the kitchen. Varisco Stone, our trusted marble subcontractors, provided and fabricated the travertine-clad bathroom and the single-piece marble island, lifted in by crane. We also supplied and installed a ribbed glass, brass shower screen and oak panelling in the study. The mechanical and electrical systems underwent a complete overhaul.

NOTTING HILL MANSION HOUSE
Chelsea Penthouse
This property, untouched for half a century prior to our intervention, underwent a comprehensive transformation. Stripping away decades of neglect, we exposed the original brick walls by removing all the plaster. Subsequently, we meticulously replaced the plaster cornicing, overhauled the flooring with an acoustic protection layer to minimise sound transmission, and updated six french doors. Additionally, new cast iron radiators, colour-matched to the walls, were installed.
The restoration efforts extended to the hall, where we unveiled and revitalised the original tiles, addressing numerous cracks and missing pieces. A utility room, featuring a panelled bench, was constructed, and we introduced a new kitchen and three bathrooms. To enhance the living space, bespoke oak built-in joinery was seamlessly integrated throughout.

Blyth-Collinson enlisted our services to revive an apartment that had remained untouched since its completion by the developer a decade ago.
We undertook a comprehensive renovation, stripping away all previous finishes and reconstructing walls and partitions to optimise the layout for better functionality.
In addition, we installed new joinery to enhance a newly designed snug room and expanded the library bookcase to elevate the sitting room’s grandeur.
To add the finishing touches, our specialised decorators meticulously applied hand-crafted wallpaper, infusing the space with warmth and sophistication.

Regents Park
Grade II listed Townhouse
We extensively renovated this exceptional house near Regents Park. Being listed, we restored the old lath and plaster and kept as may of the original features as we could. We hand built this three storey oak extension, clad in oak tongue and groove. The floors in the two LGF & Basement are polished concrete and the walls are lime plaster. We renovated the entire house, including replacing the roof and restoring the exterior brick work, including soot washing and re-rendering the face of the house. We installed a Bulthaup kitchen and restored all the windows. We cast these bespoke concrete spiral steps to take you down to the basement that we dug. We installed oak joinery throughout the house. This was an extremely complex build, which relied on detailed programming and no less than 28 specialist sub-contractors alongside our own team.

REGENTS PARK
Holland Park Townhouse
We were appointed to undertake a complete refurbishment of a 5,000 square foot house in Notting Hill, with a tight timeline of just 16 weeks. This ambitious project involved transforming every space within the property, from the luxurious master suite to a state-of-the-art cinema room in the newly renovated basement, as well as a full redesign of the garden.
Given the scale and complexity of the renovation, careful planning and meticulous scheduling were essential to maintain momentum and maximise productivity on each floor. We coordinated all trades and services to ensure a smooth work-flow, allowing us to deliver high-quality results within the set time-frame. The outcome was a beautifully revitalised home that seamlessly blends modern functionality with the timeless charm of its Notting Hill location.
