ROOTED IN PURPOSE: WHY WE STILL CHOOSE MISSION FIRST
At Juliette Fowler Communities, we often say we are more than a senior living, children and youth services organization we are a mission-driven community rooted in faith, compassion, and the belief that every persondeservestolivewithdignity
In the first quarter of 2025, as we continue to navigate shifts in healthcare, technology, and staffing demands, I’ve found myself coming back to one question: What grounds us? The answer, time and time again, is our purpose.
Whiletheworldarounduschanges,ourcallingremains the same. We don’t just provide housing we create homes We don’t just deliver care—we foster relationships built on trust, respect, and grace. That’s theheartbeatofFowler
Choosing mission first doesn’t always make things easier. It often means slowing downtolistenmorecarefullyorcommittingtolong-terminvestmentsthatmaynot showimmediatereturn butalwaysservethegreatergood.
We’ve seen that mission in action already this year. Our Ebby House residents completedafinancialliteracycoursetoprepareforindependentfutures.OurYouth SupportCenterenteredanewchapterinpartnershipwithR3StudentOutreach,now operating out of East Dallas Christian Church. And our Generation 2 Generation program which connects older adults and youth was once again recognized nationallyasaProgramofDistinctionbyGenerationsUnited. These moments, whether educational, relational, or deeply spiritual, affirm who we are
Aswelookahead,let’scontinuetobeboldinourwork butneverlosesightofwhat we’reheretodo.Itisourmissionthathascarriedusthroughforover130years,and itisourmissionthatwillsustainusinthefuture.
