So you think it’s been a quiet year for Israel’s victims of terror? During the “calm” of 2011 we responded to: 502 “Color Red” rocket alarms; 534 rockets exploding inside Israeli communities; 57 critical injuries; 111 people bereaved through terror; 22 Jews murdered; 7 victims still hospitalized, and 30 in daily outpatient treatments; 1 victim of terror committed suicide

302,000 km our staff have clocked THIS YEAR doing their vital work in thousands of devastated homes and the growing number of traumatized communities.
That’s almost all the way to the moon!
Israel desperately needs its 17,000 victims of terror to return as healthy, productive members of our family, so that we as a nation can continue to grow and to thrive. That’s what OneFamily does. We have a 10-year record of successful post-terror support and healing, and a resilient Israeli society to show for it. In 2011 alone we found employment or retraining opportunities for over 70 terror victims, and we were awarded the Presidential Citation in recognition of our contribution to society. Getting each family back to a place of full rehabilitation can take years of effort and can cost as much as $120,000, depending upon the complexity and depth of the post terror devastation they experience. And staying rehabilitated requires ongoing support and TLC. OneFamily is the only organization in Israel that provides victims of terror with a unique blend of financial assistance (75% of Israel’s terror victims are in or close to the poverty zone); therapeutic programs such as healing retreats, workshops and support groups and encouragement; legal assistance and the involvement of our international family of donors in creating a family of donors in creating a family atmosphere that victims have come to trust and to depend upon.
We need to raise at least $4 million just to fund our existing workload in 2012.
