Begin in the upper left corner and play the contour of a line. o Thin lines are static, soft, and sustained. o Colorful lines are soloistic. o If there is more than one player, specific colors may be assigned to performers beforehand, or may be negotiated on the spot during performance.

Follow the lines around the perimeter of the page, allowing ample time for solos.

When you’ve returned back to the upper left corner, you have the option to either continue around again or enter the inner shaded area. o The shaded area in the left center of the page is a composite of past solo materials. o The shaded area in the right center is blue solo material.

Alternate freely between the two.

End in either shaded area, either looping composite solo materials or blue solo material.
