Understanding how to measure success is a key strategy in advancing equity. Many communities are turning to frameworks such as Results-Based Accountability (RBA) to identify the best available data, develop a shared understanding of the data with community partners, and identify strategies that can address the root issues. Within the RBA’s step-by-step Turn the Curve process, indicators are selected based on how well it communicates to a broad audience (Communication Power), whether it is a good proxy for other indicators (Proxy Power), and whether the data is consistent and reliable (Data Power).
