On behalf of the club, welcome to the 2025 NPL Qld Fixture season kicking off today.
To all our academy players and visitors Brisbane Roar we hope you enjoy the facilities at Power Stadium on the Redcliffe Peninsula. season is now over and I would like to say congrats to the team who have progressed through to the Quarter Finals of the Kappa Pro Series.
However, League points are now on the table today and I am sure all clubs would like to kick off the season with a win.
This will again be a tough competition as Queensland’s top league and the team know every game is important every week.
It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Life Member Marianne Murphy (Aged 93 years). Marianne was a wonderful lady with a huge passion for our club and the game of football. RIP Marianne.
This week we had the club annual general meeting and I am again privileged to have been elected as Club President for the 25th year. Since our amalgamation in 2000 many members have contributed to make Peninsula Power the fantastic family club it is today. Many hours of hard work have built these facilities on the Peninsula to provide for our members and the wider community. I would also again like to welcome back Julianne, Nicole, Nikki, Charmaine and Ben as Directors on Management.
Congratulations to Andrew Carey and Nikki Harrison on becoming Life Members.
Our Women kicked off the Kappa Pro Series last night. We wish them all the best in 2025 and I would like to acknowledge Dom, Julie, coaching staff and players for all the work in preseason as they prepare for the FQPL 1 season ahead.
Good luck to all our Academy Boys and Girls teams who have also kicked off the seasons. Our community teams are currently being organised and will kick off in March/April.
Our Bradley Park Change rooms and amenities Stage 1 project is underway with production commenced on the buildings. They are currently being built off site and when completed will be delivered to Bradley Park and connected for use. I am sure all our members are looking forward to having our own facilities at the playing fields.
Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend.
Craig Feuerriegel, CLUB PRESIDENT
Following the Club’s Annual General Meeting held on 17 February, we are pleased to advise of the 2025 Management Committee for the Club with
Treasurer: Nicole Dymock
Director Community Football: Charmaine Chapman
President: Craig Feuerriegel
Secretary: Julianne Turnbull
Fundraising & Events Coordinator: Nikki Harrison
Director Club Operations: Ben Ryan
Congratulations to Nikki Harrison and Andrew Carey for their earning them the honour of becoming Life Members.
It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Life Member Marianne Murphy aged 93 years.
Marianne was a great servant to the club for well over 20 years which included fundraising and canteen service. Her support for the club included seniors and juniors and loved watching the senior games with her loving friend Nanette Murray.
In her later years Marianne was unable to attend the games but was always interested in how the club was going and all the people who she had relationships with over many years.
RIP Marianne Murphy (Life Member PPFC)
Craig Feuerriegel (Club President)
Marianne worked in the canteen with Nan for Peninsula Power on Saturday mornings at Dalton Park Junior Football and then up to the canteen at AJ Kelly for the afternoon of Senior Football games, which they did for many many years until it got too much for them they had to stop.
But the love Marianne had for all our Junior players was beyond words she could not stop her self so she started coming down to Dalton Park on Saturday Mornings to sell raffle tickets to raise money for the Juniors. She would walk around and around all the fields just to make sure she did not miss anyone. She did this for a few years until her health went down and we had to make her stop. She always said to me I am doing this so all the Junior players have a great Presentation Day.
Marianne and her side kick Nan were Peninsula Power No:1 Supporter for over 20 years.

Welcome Roar and Karl to AJ Kelly for today’s round 1 game.
We are excited to get into round one after a successful preseason. The playing group have been fantastic in preseason and put in a great deal of work.
We have had plenty of games. We were lucky enough to travel to Newcastle to face Edgeworth for the annual cup. The boys had a great few days down there.
Making the quarter-finals of the Kappa Cup has been achieved. The boys performed really well in the four rounds played winning all four games.
We welcome new players to Peninsula Power. We welcome Kenny back from his season ending injury.
Welcome Sol back after a year away. Sol had a great 2023 for us and we are thrilled by his return.
We also welcome Connor Damsma, Matt Mundy, Kai Flemington, Kyan Bryant and Iestyn

At Peninsula Power, our Academy program is more than just a pathway to high-level football; it’s a commitment to player development, growth, and opportunity. Spanning from U9 to U18 boys and U10 to U17 girls, our Academy nurtures talent, instills strong values, and fosters a love for the game within a challenging and supportive environment.
The Power Football Academy develops players for elite pathways like A-League academies or to represent Peninsula Power at the highest level. Our player-first approach emphasises intelligence, creativity, and high-intensity football.
We believe in a proactive playing style that is enjoyable to watch and play. Our learning culture prioritises match experience, skill acquisition, and decision-making over rigid coaching methods, fostering adaptability and creativity.
At Power, we recognise that developing great players starts with developing great people. Our Academy promotes a growth mindset, where challenges are embraced, effort is valued, and setbacks are seen as learning opportunities. Players are encouraged to take ownership of their progression, knowing success comes through resilience and dedication.
While recent league reclassifications placed us in Tier 2, our focus remains on providing the best development pathway. Many of our past graduates have progressed to professional teams, state and national squads, and our NPL first team—proving that talent and hard work always shine through.
A program of this calibre requires dedication from not only our players and families but also from those working behind the scenes. A huge thank you to Paul Dymock (Technical Director), Julie Kuhneman (Female Football Coordinator), and Nicole Dymock (who ensures everything runs smoothly). Their passion and commitment are the backbone of our Academy.
A special thank you to our dedicated coaches, whose hard work and guidance help shape our players into the best versions of themselves. We also deeply appreciate the parents and volunteers who step up when needed. Your support, whether on the field or behind the scenes, plays a vital role in our success and is truly valued.
Finally, to our Academy players this program exists for you. Your hard work, determination, and love for the game drive everything we do. As we enter another exciting season, we look forward to seeing each of you grow, challenge yourselves, and represent Power with pride. Today, we proudly acknowledge our Academy teams with a special march past, celebrating their dedication and hard work.
Together, we are Power. Let’s make this season one to remember!
