= Hit soundboard with side of thumb = Slap palm of hand onto strings to mute them, creating an audible percussive hit.

There are two different slur indications in this piece: solid slurs (which indicate musical phrasing), and broken slurs (which indicate hammer-ons and pull-offs.)

= Hit individual strings with thumb or index finger, creating slap harmonic where possible, hitting the string indicated.

All grace notes are ON the beat.

= Slap down on fretboard with left hand

The eighth note remains constant throughout.
