Letter from the Principal

To the Judge Memorial Catholic High School community,

This last school year was historic for Judge Memorial Catholic High School. We are so proud of our students and faculty that helped us earn our fourth National Blue Ribbon Award for Excellence in Education. To be recognized nationally for a fourth time is a state record and is truly an honor for our school community.

Academics continue to be top priority at Judge Memorial, and it showed, as we received our highest recognition from the Challenge Index by Washington Post columnist Jay Mathews. We were placed in the top 1% of all high schools in the country! Along with the national awards, we earned our highest cumulative ACT scores in decades which earned us scores 25% higher than the state average.

Along with the strong academics, our students competed at a high level in athletics and activities. We earned our first state championship in girls’ basketball and won state in both boys and girls swimming. We fought hard in all of the 20 varsity sports and the numerous club activities.

The Judge Memorial community continues to look to the future. We have solidified our role as leaders in education and look to continue to provide the best learning environment possible for our current and future students. I am incredibly grateful for our innovative and hardworking faculty and staff. They continue to empower our students with knowledge.

Thank you to all our benefactors through the years. My sincere thanks to all our alumni, parents, students, and friends who helped make the 2021-2022 school year a success. With 70% of our student body receiving some form of financial assistance, your support is opening doors of opportunity to the next generation of bulldogs. Your support is truly making a difference in the lives of our students.

With love and gratitude,

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

Looking Forward

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am so thankful for the ongoing support from our alumni, parents, and friends of Judge Memorial. This support enables us to continue to offer a quality, catholic, college preparatory education to our students. Your support also assists us in improving programs and facilities, assisting families in need, retaining our outstanding faculty and keeping our campus safe. This Annual Report celebrates you, our donors – to whom we are so grateful.

I am pleased to share some of the highlights of our many accomplishments during the 2021-2022 school year.

y Judge Memorial received a 2021 National Blue-Ribbon School Award from the United States Department of Education which recognizes exemplary public and non-public schools across the Nation. Judge Memorial is a fourtime recipient of this prestigious award; and the only Utah high school to receive the award more than once.

y Judge Memorial was also ranked in the top 1% of most challenging highs schools in the U.S. and the #1 most challenging high school in Utah; according to the Challenge Index published by Educational Columnist Jay Mathews of the Washington Post.

Our Girls’ Basketball team won their first State Championship going undefeated all season, the Boys’ and Girls’ Swim Teams Sweep the 3A State Championship.

Judge Memorial was honored at the State Capitol in recognition of our National Blue

I deeply appreciate the assistance I receive from everyone connected with our school. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure help Judge to maintain its high academic standards; the quality of our activities, arts, and athletic programs; and assist our students in their spiritual development and growth. Thank you very much for your help, your contributions, and your commitment to our mission. I look forward to working with you again this year.
