Mission Statement The mission of Judge Memorial Catholic High School is to create a community through faith and education that will foster the development of each student’s inherent gifts.
Philosophy As a community based on faith, Judge Memorial Catholic High School partners with parents to foster the integration of student’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. In our safe, caring, respectful environment, students are empowered to become builders of a more just society.

Letter from the Principal To the Judge Memorial Catholic High School community, This year we welcomed students into our 100th school year. This is an incredible accomplishment. We stand on the shoulders of giants in the educational world. I am humbled to be a part of a school that has adapted and thrived throughout the ages. This year has been unlike any other we have seen. Educating students during a global pandemic has required us to adapt and create. Each aspect of our school has been impacted by COVID-19. From our delivery of instruction to safety measures for events. We have taken a united stance in creating the safest environment possible for our students and our faculty. This effort to safely adapt has been championed by our faculty and staff. Through a massive overhaul of procedures and classroom instruction delivery, we are proud to welcome students into our hallways to continue the Judge Memorial tradition. We are currently delivering instruction through a hybrid model of both in-person and distance learning. It has been an absolute priviledge to watch our faculty and staff model what it is to be life-long learners. Throughout this pandemic, I have watched as our school community has risen to the current challenges. Whether that has been in creating virtual graduation ceremonies, making home visits to students in need, creating a food support program, to creating a mentor program, we are recognizing the needs of our students. Let us continue to provide safety and stability for our students. When our students know they are loved, they know they are safe. When they know they are safe, they allow themselves to be vulnerable to learning. My sincere thanks to all our alumni, parents, friends and benefactors who helped make the 2019-20 school year a success. Your generosity provided support to the school’s academic, spiritual, athletic, and extra-curricular programs. Thank you for the partnership. We remain committed to providing a faith-filled education to students of all economic backgrounds. Last year we were able to deliver tuition assistance to nearly 70% of our student body. This level of tuition assistance could not be possible without the help from our loving school community. With love and gratitude,

Looking Forward Dear Friends and Supporters, In 1902, Mary Judge, a successful businesswoman and philanthropist, founded the Judge Mercy Home and Hospital for the treatment of miners, in memory of her late husband John Judge, a 19th century Utah mining magnate. The hospital was staffed by the Sisters of Mercy, a congregation of Catholic nuns. Later in 1919, following the growth and expansion of other health care institutions in the Salt Lake Valley, the hospital was donated to the Catholic Dioceses of Salt Lake City to establish a school for the education of children. Thus, the story of Judge Memorial Catholic High School began, almost a century ago. As Judge Memorial celebrates its 100th anniversary we are reminded how much Judge has evolved over the years while our mission and philosophy have stayed continuous. Our 100-year tradition has yielded thousands of successful graduates serving the needs of their families, employers and their communities. Many of our Judge Memorial and St. Mary of the Wasatch graduates continue to give back to the school in support of our current and future graduates. Today, we invite you to join our ‘$100 for 100 Years’ campaign to help us reach our goal to raise $1 Million in celebration of our centennial success. We are filled with gratitude for the continuing support received each year from our alumni, parents, friends, and students. Your support is essential in providing our students with the high quality, faithbased, college preparatory education they desire and deserve.
