Mission Statement The mission of Judge Memorial Catholic High School is to create a community through faith and education that will foster the development of each student’s inherent gifts.
Philosophy As a community based on faith, Judge Memorial Catholic High School partners with parents to foster the integration of student’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. In our safe, caring, respectful environment, students are empowered to become builders of a more just society.

Letter from the Principal To the Judge Memorial Catholic High School community, This year we welcomed students into our 99th school year. I am truly grateful for the ongoing support you provide to the students entrusted in our care. As the faculty and staff gathered for our beginning of the year retreat, we asked ourselves why is a Judge Memorial education different. Along with strong academics and a safe learning environment we realized that the goal for our students is so much more. Our driving force is that Judge Memorial students take the academic and social lessons from the school and use them to create a more just society. It is not simply about gaining knowledge but instead using that knowledge to make our world a better place. We recognize that our goal is often counter cultural. Our focus on cura personalis, care for the whole person, drives our mission and instruction. When our students know that they are loved then they will likely feel safe. When they feel safe, they can allow for themselves to be vulnerable to learning. We feel blessed to be in a position to help foster our students’ growth and empowerment. Our theme for the year is “Say Hello!” We look to defy the growing social isolation that many young people feel today. Instead we are straightforward with our students that they matter and they belong. We will reaffirm this every day. My sincere thanks to all our alumni, parents, friends and benefactors who helped make the 2018-19 school year a success. Your generosity provided support to the school’s academic, spiritual, athletic, and extra-curricular programs. We were on the receiving end of so many blessings throughout the year. Thank you for the partnership. We remain committed to providing a faith-filled education to students of all economic backgrounds. Last year we were able to deliver tuition assistance to 66% of our student body. This level of tuition assistance could not be possible without the help from our extraordinarily supportive community. Dear Friends and Supporters, As I reflect on the past year, I am so thankful for the ongoing support from our alumni, parents, and friends of Judge Memorial. This support enables us to continue to offer a quality, Catholic, college preparatory education to our students. Your support also assists us in improving programs and facilities, assisting families in need, retaining our outstanding faculty and keeping our campus safe. This Annual Report celebrates you, our donors – to whom we are so grateful. I am pleased to share some of the highlights of our many accomplishments during the 2018-2019 school year. l Through a comprehensive grant, Judge Memorial received funding for new heating and air-conditioning systems for the entire school. l Judge Memorial was named in the top 2% of most challenging highs schools in the U.S. and the #1 most challenging high school in Utah according to the Challenge Index by Columnist Jay Mathews of the Washington Post. l The gymnasium sound system was upgraded thanks to a generous donation. Our Annual Pre-Game Social for all Judge and St. Mary of the Wasatch alumni will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 – beginning at 5:30 pm followed by our Homecoming football game. Light food and beverages will be provided. Our 2019-2020 Annual Gala, A Night to Remember, Believe and Celebrate, will he held on February 8, 2020 at the Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek, you won’t want to miss it!

Next year, Judge Memorial will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary. We will be kicking off our celebrations during our Homecoming football game in the fall of 2020. Committee members have been working diligently to ensure this will be a year of celebrations. We will keep you posted and welcome any additional volunteers.
