Indian River, ON Welcome to our annual Bull and female sale featuring a large group of black Simmental bulls for 2019. We strive to produce seed stock to go into commercial programs to perform well under their management conditions. Through careful genetic selection these bulls are designed to reduce inputs costs and labour while adding value through performance. Cows are all we know and every dime we make here at Indian River comes from a cow so rest assured every breeding decision made here is not taken lightly. We have some great friends and fellow breeders also consigning the top of their crop and we all look forward to visiting with you over a bowl of chilli on March 10. After many years braving Mother Nature’s cold and wind we will be in the new sale barn, so come early to look at the cattle and visit with fellow cattlemen. This guy is the deal. Everybody will remember the monster extra age Simm/Angus bull that the Sytsmas picked up last year and here is his maternal brother. Built the same way with a loose soft easy doing design, he’s really dense and thick from end to end, yet is still smooth and attractive up front. His dam is obviously a power cow and adds that extra punch and doability. Remember he’s just a year old at sale time.

Only red bull in the sale and a cool one. Really stout, big topped and structurally sound he checks a lot of boxes. Nice milky dam by the popular Cobra and a bull who himself sports impressive growth numbers.
