Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of dispute, the auctioneer’s decision is final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in sale catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds. Only because we are trying to keep herd numbers under control are we offering this heifer. She comes from one of our best cow families. We have purchased several cattle from Tony and Doris Arujo and NEVER got a poor one. When visitors view our cows, they seem to find them and hence buy them but Zeta STAYS. Otonavista Herd Reduction Well the time has come to start to downsize the Otonavista herd. We purchased our first Simmental cows in 1974 and have been breeding Simmental cattle since. For the past 15 years, we purchased Red Baldy bulls with emphasis to calving ease, femininity, and ease of doing. We have confidence that this group of heifers will continue to perform to what we have been breeding for in our program. As we undergo a major herd reduction we will be offering ALL of our bred heifers, while keeping a few of the older cows around the farm. Of special note #6C, #8C, & #15C come from one of our Matriarch cow bloodline with Otonavista Lorraine. A moderate framed, deep bodied cow, with a picture perfect udder even at the ripe age of 15. These and others demonstrate the longevity that we strive for in our breeding program. These heifers were all bred to Arkacy Carlos, co-owned with Laura Robson, and will be checked safe in calf before sale. Carlos is a bull with extremely well balanced EPDs and was Reserve Grand Champion bull calf at last year Royal show. His progeny will surely be impressive as he is.
