Portfolio Juan Felipe Paredes Munar

ABOUT ME Since I was a child, I have been passionate about architecture. I am fascinated by imagining, designing, and creating spaces that connect to moments and emotions. I am drawn to thinking about how spaces can influence our lives and how each design tells a unique story, which remains etched in the mind of those who experience it.

Throughout my life, I have explored different aspects of architecture, from manual creation with blocks, plan design, model making, to the use of design software. I love generating ideas in my mind that I can bring to life in objects and experimenting with shapes, colours, and materials, and I always look for ways to innovate and improve my ideas.

This portfolio is a compilation of my passion for architecture; within it, you will find design proposals that I would like to create in the future and photographs that have inspired me on this journey into architecture.

I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do.

SKETCHES

In this sketches, I worked on the different ways to show buildings in perspectives, as well as how a comparison with human beings can change completely the magnitude of the structure

I still remember that I did this sketch through a history class; actually, we were talking about Japan, and the city of Kyoto just came to mind, seeing it’s streets inspired me to try a two-point perspective from a corner.

(2024) Urban geometry

This sketch was principally inspired by the Mactan-Cebu airport, which intrigued me with it’s use of consecutive curves through the ceiling that not only gives it a really interesting view but also a strong and ornamental base near the columns.

3D MODELING This design for the Roman architecture course shows a recreation of a temple commonly dedicated to the Capitoline triad.

Temple of Minerva (2024)

A creative piece that allowed me to play with different and abstract figures and also expand my knowledge in the software.

The source of Atlas (2025)

This is my latest design, in which I tried to use all I have learnt to integrate a natural aspect into a modern structure.

PHOTOGRAPHY Exploring photography, I have come to appreciate how a structure integrates with its surroundings and the details of each, which make a significant difference not only in the building itself but also in the overall urban appreciation.
