Creative Tech Week - Showcase Proposal for Hyphenhub

Natural Order is an installation consisting of three lcd screens that have a black hole that is is contantly throwing light from its center. The piece was inspired by scientit’s recent discovery of a black hole spiting plasma after it devoured a star. The eruption happened about 7,800 years ago but it was only visible a few months ago. This is one of the firts plausible clues that can help us understand the future of outer space bodies and its relationship with our planet.

Angular lens

Hurricane is a series of sculptures consisting of two machines that have stroboscopic mechanisms inside that tricks the eye into believing that you are looking directly into an hurricane eye. The strenght of the piece lies in the angular lenses, that give the illusion of inmensity while the motor makes it spin simulating a real life hurricane.

Magnetic Landscapes is a series of sculptures. Each one is a machine that has a motor that creates movement in neodimium magnets that interact with the irong fillings on the top, generating small landscapes and patterns that are in constant evolution.

The Architecture of Radio - Performance based on Data visualization of several radio signal data

The Architecture of Radio is a performance piece inspired by its homonimum named app that allows the user to visualize all of the radio waves surrounding the user’s location. For this performance, I am creating a similiar interface that allows me to interact with all of the satellite data, wi-fi network, cellphone antennaes and electromagnetic fields present in the moment and the space of the performance. For the piece I will be using a special sensor that give me spacial control over the interface by using only gestures from my hands (no cables involved).

The ideal way to visualize this performance wold be on 2 or 3 HD screens to create the illusion of space.
