Desciption of the Proposal

Interference is a sound installation that reflects upon the metaphor of quantum wave interference, where an interface connects two cosmogonical machines that are located in two different geocultural sites (the CERN and the Amazon jungle) This installation uses transducers that will transmit the sounds of the Amazon jungle through the trees surrounding FACT, while FACT´s architectural structures serve as the LHC´s sound emitter. Due to the fact that the trees will be transducing vibrations that passersby will feel through their body, and that sounds coming from FACT will be travelling through the air, the place where the interference happens is in the expectator´s head.
