I’m Jacob Truelove-Cooke and this is my Portfolio I am a Hardworking, outgoing and eminently self-motivated individual, with an aptitude for working within a team environment. Currently I am in my second year of Study at Nottingham Trent University, studying Product Design Bsc, with an onlook to enter into the industrial subset of design due to my analytical and empirical approach. These qualities paired with practicality have allowed me to thrive within a workshop environment, building a diverse skill set with an ever growing interest to further and expand. With the continuous development of my ability to use software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Fusion AutoCad 360, Solidworks and Keyshot through my university education, paired with the work in industry I am undertaking, has enabled me to blossom as a designer and find my niche of interest.

Sleep Hub Light and Sound Live Group Project : 3 weeks

The brief: Health is increasingly being seen in a holistic way. Considering both physical and mental health, how might we design products that better support and improve wellbeing? • How can we persuade people to develop healthy behaviours and build long lasting habits? • Can we help people make the right (healthy) choice? Objectives: • To identify a compelling user need in the areas defined below and leverage AI or other suitable technologies to solve them. Solutions should be positive and life affirming, helping to empower users and not simply removing user input or improving efficiency which can negatively impact the user’s mental health if poorly implemented. • Consider how technology may be used to influence / change our behaviour to live healthier lives. • The outcome should have a positive impact on peoples lives. • The main outcome should be a physical product, but may have a system to support it which could include an app, service or packaging design.
