HEADMASTER’S MESSAGE It is no exaggeration to say that the 2020-2021 school year was the most extraordinary year in St. Timothy’s history. We redesigned spaces, reimagined treasured traditions, and reinvented teaching—all to ensure that our children could continue to safely learn, grow, and thrive with us in the midst of the type of global pandemic our world hasn’t experienced in over a century. In just about any letter I write, at some point I reference the community of St. Timothy’s School. Our Code of Conduct asks students to be kind, respectful, honest and responsible—traits essential for strong communities. Our Portrait of a Graduate asks us to strive to treat all people with dignity, respect and compassion, and love and serve God and one another. One of the defining features of St. Timothy’s School is our vibrant, close-knit community—a result of these and other core STS values, and the commitment to each other that we embrace every day. In 2020-2021, our St. Timothy’s School community came together in extraordinary ways. Teachers and school staff worked harder than ever before, took on roles and responsibilities well beyond anything they could ever have imagined, and even made significant personal sacrifices around travel and time with family in order to ensure our children had every possible opportunity for safe in-person learning. Our Titan families responded in incredible ways— making their own sacrifices to ensure a safe community, offering countless acts of gratitude, and philanthropically supporting our efforts with unprecedented generosity. I hope this St. Timothy’s 2020-2021 Annual Report inspires celebration and gratitude in all who read it. Truly, I’ve never been prouder of—or more grateful for—any community in which I’ve ever been a part.

A YEAR IN REVIEW
FINANCIAL OVERVIEW This past year, proceeds from the St. Timothy’s Annual Fund enabled us to provide a safe learning environment for our students. The air purification system, daily sanitizing and deep cleaning, additional personnel, Google Jamboards and other additions to the school were made possible by contributions to the St. Timothy’s Annual Fund. Each year, parents, faculty and staff members, the Board of Trustees, alumni and community friends give to the school’s yearly fundraising efforts to support expenses that tuition alone does not cover. Thank you for continuing to help our school enhance the academic program for our students, fund professional development opportunities for faculty and staff and upgrade facilities to promote a safe teaching and learning environment. We are truly grateful for all who support St. Timothy’s School!

This past school year, the 1.5 acres of new outdoor space opened for use. Every day, students have been out enjoying the new field, the re-imagined Lisa Permar Ham Memorial Playground, the Diab Ampitheatre and the West Family Court. To celebrate the opening of the outdoor space, lead donors attended a special recognition ceremony and reception before the Back to School BBQ. ST. TIMOTHEE’S SCHOOL Boucan- Carre, Haiti Over the past five years, our community has formed a strong connection to our partner sschool, St. Timothee’s in Haiti. Through various visits to each other’s campuses, we have shared lessons, connected with students and learned about each other’s daily life. TITAN GOLF CLASSIC After a long hiatus, the Titan Golf Classic returned and was a huge success! On Monday, May 24, more than 170 golfers gathered to play in the Titan Golf Classic. Parents, grandparents, friends of the school, alumni and even several teachers played one of two courses at North Ridge Country Club. Before and after playing, participants took part in a raffle with a myriad of prizes. Once the numbers were tallied, Head of School Tim Tinnesz announced the first and second place winners of both courses. Congratulations to all the golfers. FRIENDS OF ST. TIMOTHY’S
Friends of St. Timothy’s is the school’s parent volunteer organization. Each year, the group organizes fundraising and community events, like Freddie’s Christmas Store and the Back to School BBQ.
