1. One of my favourite aspects that I have enjoyed so far as Environmental Officer is bringing forward to JCU and JCUSA more Indigneous Ecological Ideas and Engagement, where this was not really explored to the extent I have been doing so far.

2. I have a few personal goals I would like to achieve this semester. My first goal is to pass my one subject for the semester and my second goal is focusing on hosting Eco-awareness events/activities such as a Tree Planting Day and planting bush tucker medicines in our JCU Community Gardens both Cairns and Townsville.

1. My favourite aspect of my job is meeting new students and being able to make real change for the students while at uni, to make it such a memory that they will always remember there days at JCU with a smile.

2. For me this semester im focusing on getting the grades I need to go and study overseas next year, and working on just making uni life better for students.

Market Day is one of many events JCUSA runs during O-week. There is a huge range of stalls with many freebies on offer. Most importantly it is a place for students to gather and find others with similar interests.

There are many student clubs, societies and associations present at Market day as well as a variety of JCU and community support including: Vinnies, Envisage Pharmacy, Qstars support for first time renters, headspace, Scouts Queensland, and the JCU Library Learning Centre.
