Clover Knoll is operated by Karen and Matt Knoll along with our daughter Zoe and twins, Coulter and Jake. We believe the best way to raise a family is in the barn and showing livestock so we’ve found a way to do just that and make some really special animals in the process. Karen’s skill in breeding selection over the last decade has created a strong doe base that combines the perfect formula of maternal function with show winning extras. We constantly strive to keep pushing forward and advance our herd.

When Cooper called and asked if we would like to partner on HAM GRAVY, we said yes. Sight unseen. That’s insane. But that’s how much I believed in the maternal side of his pedigree. Ham’s mama is out of the best producing doe we’ve ever owned. Ever. Catapult has my heart. He put us in the wether game and dang this cross was amazing. We repeated it the next year and made Chet Boden’s High Point wether. Being young we only have a few babies out of HAM GRAVY so far. By the looks of it, you’re going to be hearing his name a lot!

Sometimes things just fall into place, but sometimes you have to force fate. Let’s just say it took a lot of effort to make this flush happen. But when this guy hit the ground, well, it was all WORTH IT! Zoe ran his brother through a successful show career, earning Res High Points on the 2023 ECLA circuit! Her Iconic doe was 3rd overall at PAYLE and Res Division at NAILE. Suffice it to say we have been nothing but impressed with the Iconic offspring in our barn. WORTH IT replicates his sire’s fuzz, bone, width, muscle, cage, and squareness. All features we’re eager to keep adding in mass!

Like all good breeders we spent our summer vacation road tripping through multiple states to find a new herd sire. We found him at Storks in a Whistle son that has a winning lineup of siblings. His sister is the famous Bounds Mona Lisa doe and his brother won Austin. We paired him with the best female out of our Gallagher buck and we got ROAD TRIP! ROAD TRIP came out exemplifying our favorite qualities of those two bucks with massive muscles, correct structure, and the frame and extension to fit in the big ring. His sire has been one of our most consistent bucks and we expect the same from ROAD TRIP!

8 BALL’s sire needs no introduction. We saw Carry the Boats as a baby and were chomping at the bit to use him. While his sire is impressive, the other half of his genetics are remarkable as well. 8 BALL’s mama is out of a Captain Morgan doe that made Zoe’s Res Division at NAILE and 3rd Overall doe at PAYLE. His granddam never misses and it looks like his mama doesn’t either. He is crazy wide with huge muscles and a big round cage. When you rack your breeding lineup, make sure to include the 8 BALL!
