Site Analysis: SketchUp & CAD mapper

Using SketchUp and CAD mapper to roughly show the scale of the site, and the atmosphere around it. For instance, the site is located 510m away from the King’s Cross Railway Station and the St. Pancras International Railway Station. This suggests that it will take around 6 minutes for a person to walk from the stations to the site, which is not too far. Also, the site is located along a busy road (Grays Inn Road), which means that it will be an easy location for a person to visit, without getting lost. Therefore, this shows that the site is a good location to build an environmental hotel, as there are two busy railway stations near it and also the largest library in the world, “the British Library”.

Analysing the site makes me realised that King's Cross, London does not have many huge greenery spaces, as most of the greenery have been spread out into tiny sections per area. Therefore, building an environment hotel in the chosen site is worth it, as currently there are only a few trees and bushes around the site.
