Enhancing Patient Satisfaction

Patient satisfaction plays a crucial role in the success of healthcare organizations, as it directly influences patient retention, reputation, and overall success Positive patient experiences lead to better health outcomes, increased compliance with treatment plans, and higher levels of trust in healthcare providers Conversely, negative experiences can result in patient dissatisfaction, reduced loyalty, and even potential legal issues Below are some ways to improve patient satisfaction

FosterEffectiveCommunication

Clear and empathetic communication is the foundation of patient satisfaction Healthcare providers should strive to actively listen to patients, ensuring that their concerns, questions, and fears are addressed comprehensively Using simple language, avoiding medical jargon, and encouraging patients to participate in shared decision-making can significantly enhance their satisfaction levels

PersonalizeCare

Treating patients as individuals with unique needs and preferences is essential for fostering patient satisfaction Healthcare providers should take the time to understand the patient's medical history, lifestyle, and cultural background to tailor treatment plans accordingly Demonstrating genuine care and concern for patients fosters trust and enhances satisfaction

Improving patient satisfaction requires a multifaceted approach that prioritizes effective communication, personalization, convenience, and a patient-centered mindset. By focusing on these key aspects, healthcare providers can foster stronger patient relationships, drive positive health outcomes, and establish a reputation as a patient-centric organization Remember, satisfied patients are more likely to become loyal advocates and contribute to the long-term success of healthcare facilities.

Visit Type Updates

New visit types will soon roll out in Behavioral Health! These visit types will be specific to Behavioral Health Services and will no longer be shared with the rest of community health The purpose for this move is to give us the ability to continue to refine and make changes to our scheduling/registration processes and improve clinic workflows.

Effective Wednesday 7/19/23, all behavioral health clinic visit types will have a “Mode” attached This means that the visit type will NOT change to Telehealth Instead, the visit type will remain its usual title and the team member will select a “Mode” (InPerson, Tele-video, Telephone) during the scheduling process

The “Video Mode/Status” column on the schedule will reflect the visit mode for the appointment If the column is empty, the appointment is in-person; if it is telehealth video, you will see the camera icon If it is a telehealth phone appointment (only available for intake and counseling), you will see a telephone icon

The changes will take effect on Wednesday,July19:

Discontinuedvisittypes

Telehealth Video – DISCONTINUED

Telehealth Phone – DISCONTINUED

Visittypenamechanges

New Patient → BH New Patient

Follow Up → BH Follow Up

Walk In → BH Walk In

Leaders will be rounding to answer questions and to help This “mode” workflow is already in use for our counseling and intake visit types and has resulted in a more efficient workflow for scheduling/registration and better data to reflect effort Thank you in advance for your patience during this transition Please reach out with any questions
