Greetings Fellow Ushers,

As I begin my 3rd Year as President of the Interdenominational Church Ushers’ Association {ICUA} of Washington, DC & Vicinity, Inc. I thank God for His Guidance, Grace, and Mercy for a successful and productive tenure as President! We were able to accomplish many activities, events, and Outreach Projects in 2018. One of the highlights of 2018 was the Pastors’ Appreciation Fellowship Luncheon held at Macedonia Community Church.

I have decided to continue to use the theme “The Power of Love and Unity” because I know as one unified body, we can accomplish much. We must continue to embrace the Mission and Purpose of the ICUA.

My number one goal for the past two years was to increase communication throughout the ICUA by disseminating timely correspondence from the local, Region, and National levels to the membership. My number one goal for this year is to continue to increase communication throughout the ICUA. This document – the ICUA Workbook – is a valuable resource for all of our members. It contains helpful information that you may need from time-totime on the three Departments {Senior, Young Adult, and Junior and Young People}. It also contains information on who to contact in the case of a deceased Usher; a program outline for preparing for a Sermon; and a membership listing of member churches, Pastors, Guardians, and Usher Ministry Presidents.

As we work together in “Love and Unity,” let’s support the activities of the ICUA and assist where needed to make this Organization of Church Ushers, the best that it can be for the Lord.

To Director Brenda Sellers, Assistant Director Rosie White, and members of the Alma Cooper Hawkins Public Relations Department, thank you for your tireless efforts in putting this valuable Workbook together!
