Adversity is a condition of suffering and hardship involving anguish, pressure, trials, heartaches, or disappointments. It may be physical or emotional in nature, and either long or short in duration, but it always causes pain. Although none of us want hurt or trouble, if it comes, we have two options. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOEBOXES During the month of October, boxes may be picked up or dropped off on the patio after services.

The Clan of Christ for 38 Years at Leupp

Join the Virtual Fall Faith Festival with Leupp.

Share Your Covid-19 God Sightings.

The Lord has brought DHPC and Leupp together in ministry as the Clan of Christ for 38 years showing the world how to be “One in Christ”. For the first time we will fail to visit each other at least twice annually in worship, ministry, and friendship. We missed our annual spring trip to Leupp, so we posted a love message on the Hope Resurrected Facebook page. There we shared our prayers and fond memories of good times together.

Now is when we would normally invite our Leupp brothers and sisters in Christ to worship with us and participate in our Fall Faith Festival. Instead, we are having a virtual gathering by sharing stories of how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected our lives and ministries. Suggested topics include: God sightings we have witnessed during the Coronavirus.

How we are staying sane with lockdowns, masks, and social distancing?

How the kids are coping with the social distancing?

How the kids and college students are going to school?

How we are staying connected to the community during COVID-19 ?

How we are connecting with Friends and Family during COVID-19 ?

What insights we have made during COVID-19 ?

How we have engaged in ministry during COVID-19?

Stories from DHPC and Leupp will be assembled in a video posted on the DHPC and HR Facebook pages.

Life has changed so we are having to change with it (with God’s help!). Eight years ago, the church began filling bags of food containing the necessary items to make a complete dinner, to give to the Foothills Food Bank for their Thanksgiving Turkey distribution. The last two years we gave out small bags for financial donations and the Food Bank purchased the food.

Due to Covid, we will not be giving out small fixin’ bags but ask that you consider making donations directly to the church with a notation on the memo line of the check, “Fixin Bags”. The need for food is still GREAT in our community so let’s dig deep in our pockets and keep our giving going from DHPC. Money will be collected from NOW until Nov. 12.

Weekly reservations are still required to attend. In addition, The Session is continuing its policy that masks or face shields are required for everyone who attends worship with the exception of children age five and under (who must remain with guardians at all times). A mask or face shield must be worn when you are entering the building, during the worship service and the entire time you are on the church campus (bring one from home or one will be provided). For those who are unable to wear a mask or face shield due to medical reasons, The Session feels that you are safer at home.
