*CALL TO WORSHIP (John 14:25-27)
Leader: Jesus said, “All this I have spoken while still with you.
People: But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Leader: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
People: Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Leader: Therefore, let us turn to the Lord in prayer asking him to send the Holy Spirit afresh upon us all.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, The holy catholic church, The communion of saints, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God, be gracious to us, for we have sinned against You. In our busyness we have failed to call on You. In our self-centeredness we have ignored Your hurting people. We have uttered empty words and wearied You with empty deeds. We have been unwilling to see our own iniquity and have not dared to believe that You can heal us. Come to us now to forgive and make new. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Leader: If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has passed away. Behold, the new has come. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon. All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.

PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
