Crown Him With Many Crowns

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (Apostles’ Creed)

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost, The holy catholic church, The communion of saints, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

*GLORY BE TO THE FATHER

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty God, no temptation has overtaken us that is not common to humanity, and we realize that You are faithful and will not let us be tempted beyond our ability to resist. So please forgive us for our sins and strengthen us, Lord, that we may find the way to escape temptation and live fully for You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON (1 John 1:9)

Leader: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon.

All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.

ANTHEM Restoration

Forgive our sins, O Lord.

Heal us and restore us, we pray.

Take our iniquities.

Cleanse us from every evil.

Restore the joy of Your salvation.

Heal all our brokenness.

Mend the places marred by our sin.

Cover our stains with grace.

Loosen the chains that bind us.

Redeem our weakness for Your glory.

Chancel Choir

Teach us to follow You.

Heather Sorenson

Give us the strength to walk in Your truth. Lend us in pastures green.

Give us the victory, Lord, for Your name!

Rebuild the shattered walls.

Gather Your children back to Your love; And by Your power we will conquer all!

Forgive our sin, O Lord.

Heal us and restore us, we pray.

Kyrie, kyrie, kyrie. Amen.

PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION

Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
