Leader: Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I say, Rejoice!
People: May our gentleness be evident to all people. The Lord is near!
Leader: Do not be anxious about anything. But through prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.
People: And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Leader: Therefore, let us seek the Lord in prayer.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Help our lives to more fully reflect Your ways, O Lord. May the Fruit of Your Spirit grow in our hearts, that we may know the way of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, You forgive our sins. By the power of the Holy Spirit, enable us to live a more holy life. We thank You for Your love. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Leader: And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon.
All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.

Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
