*CALL TO WORSHIP (John 1:1-5)
Leader: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. People: He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that has been made.
Leader: In Him was life; and that life was the light of humanity.
People: The light shines forth in the darkness; and the darkness did not grasp it.
Leader: In prayer, let us seek the One who gives us life.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. We have not loved You with our whole heart and mind and strength; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In Your mercy forgive what we have been, help us amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (1 John 1:9)
Leader: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon. All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.
PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER
All who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and have been baptized are welcome to partake of the Lord’s Supper. Children who have been baptized and instructed in its meaning are also welcome to partake. There are gluten free options available at the usher stand. Please hold the bread, so that all may commune together, but drink the cup when served.
