I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God, be gracious to us, for we have sinned against You. In our busyness we have failed to call on You. In our self-centerdness we have ignored Your hurting people. We have uttered empty words and wearied You with empty deeds. We have been unwilling to see our own iniquity and have not dared to believe that You can heal us. Come to us now to forgive and make new. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
