*CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: Live a life worthy of your calling.

People: Be humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Leader: Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

People: There is one body and one Spirit; just as we were called to one hope when we were called.

All: One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all.

Leader: Let us prepare our hearts to worship the Lord our Savior.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (Apostles’ Creed)

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, The holy catholic church, The communion of saints, The forgiveness of sins, The resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Almighty God, You alone are good and holy. Forgive now our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Purify our lives and make us brave disciples. We do not ask You to keep us safe, but to keep us loyal so we may follow Jesus Christ in all of life. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON (John 3:16-17)

Leader: For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon. All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.

PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION

Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

All who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and have been baptized are welcome to partake of the Lord’s Supper. Children who have been baptized and instructed in its meaning are also welcome to partake. Please hold the bread so that all may commune together, but drink the cup when served.
