PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O Lord, who on this day entered the rebellious city that later rejected You: we confess that our wills are as rebellious as Jerusalem’s, that our faith is often more show than substance, that our hearts are in need of cleansing.
Have mercy on us, son of David, Savior of our lives. Help us to lay at your feet
all that we have and all that we are, trusting You to forgive what is sinful, to heal what is broken, to welcome our praises, and to receive us as Your own. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Psalm 118)
Leader: The Lord is our strength and might. Jesus is our salvation.
All: In Jesus our sins are forgiven.
Leader: In Jesus our cries are answered, Our salvation is at hand. All: Blessed be the name of the Lord!
PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
Merciful God, as we enter Holy week, turn our hearts again to Jerusalem, and to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Stir up within us the gift of faith that we may not only praise him with our lips, but may follow him in the way of the cross. Amen.

Hosanna, hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
Jerusalem! Jerusalem! Lift up your gates and sing, Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna to your King!
Hosanna in the highest, Hosanna forever more!
“Hosanna in the highest!” that ancient song we sing, For Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of heav’n our King. Oh, may we ever praise Him with heart and life and voice, And in His blissful presence eternally we rejoice! We rejoice!
I Need Thee Every Hour
I need Thee ev’ry hour most gracious Lord; No tender voice like Thine can peace afford.
I need Thee ev’ry hour, stay Thou nearby; Temptations lose their pow’r when Thou art nigh.
I need Thee, O I need Thee; ev’ry, ev’ry hour I need Thee.
O bless me now, my Savior. I come, I come to Thee.
I need Thee ev’ry hour, in joy or pain; Come quickly and abide, or life is vain.
I need Thee ev’ry hour, teach me Thy will; And Thy rich promises in me fulfill.
I need Thee, O I need Thee; ev’ry, ev’ry hour I need Thee.
O bless me now, my Savior. I come, I come to Thee.

I Am Light, I Am Life, I Am Love Mary McDonald
At this table, come and dine, feast on bread, partake the wine. Do this in remembrance of Me.
This my body and my blood, for the weary soul outpoured. Do this in remembrance of Me.
I was given for you. Come and taste of the Father’s love.
As you drink from the cup, remember the blood shed for you.
I am Light. I am Life. I am Love.
At this table, come and dine, feast on bread, partake the wine.
Do this in remembrance of Me.
I was given for you. Come and taste of the Father’s love.
As you drink from the cup, remember the blood shed for you.
I am Light. I am Life. I am Love.

SCRIPTURE Luke 19:28-48 Page 1497 Pew Bible
Thy Will Be Done
Our cup was filled with darkness. Our cup was filled with death.
Christ took our cup and drank it, and gave us life, and gave us hope, gave us Himself.
My father, let this cup pass from me.
My father, let this cup pass from me; Yet not my will, O Lord, yet not my will, O Lord, but Thine be done.
In blackest night we hear Him in dark Gethsemane.
Pleading with the Father for one more way, for one more hope, for one more day.
My father, let this cup pass from me.
My father, let this cup pass from me; Yet not my will, O Lord, yet not my will, O Lord, but Thine be done.
Then they took our Savior, and led Him to a tree; And there thy broke His body, poured out His life, put Him to death to rise again!
My father, let this cup pass from me.
My father, let this cup pass from me;
Yet not my will, O Lord, yet not my will, O Lord, but Thine be done.
Thy will be done; Thy will be done.
Thine Hour Paul Thompson
Sleep, Holy Jesus, Thine hour is yet to come. Sin will demand the cost of God’s own Son;
Tho’ all the world is waiting for a Savior to appear; Just sleep, Holy Jesus, Your hour is drawing near.

GOING
Pray, Holy Jesus, tomorrow hastens nigh
When on a cross, Your grief will fill the sky.
The price of my redemption is Your humility; So Pray, Holy Jesus Your hour is yet to be.
