PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Holy God, we have propped up our lives with lies rather than devote ourselves to truth. We have allowed our thoughts to be polluted with selfish desires rather than focus on the well-being of Your people. We have coveted for ourselves the things of earth rather than aspired to the intentions of our Creator. We have embraced attitudes and actions that kill and destroy rather than those that build up and bring life. O God, we ask that You prune from us what is sick, diseased, and sinful. We ask You to strengthen our abiding in Jesus Christ, and our ability to bear Fruit through the Holy Spirit. We want to be new creations in Christ Jesus. May the power of the resurrection be a reality within and among us, Lord. We pray all this in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
ASSURANCE
OF PARDON (1 John 1:9)
Leader: If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Therefore, let us assure one another of God’s pardon.

The day of resurrection! Earth, tell it out abroad, the passover of gladness, the passover of God. From death to life eternal, from sin’s dominion free, our Christ has brought us over with hymns of victory.
Let hearts be purged of evil that we may see aright the Lord in rays eternal of resurrection light, and list’ning to his accents, may hear, so calm and plain, his own “All hail!” and hearing, may raise the glad refrain.
Now let the heav’ns be joyful, let earth its song begin, the round world keep high triumph and all that is therein.
Let all things, seen and unseen, their notes in gladness blend; for Christ the Lord has risen, our joy that has no end!
