PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord, you have provided for all our needs, whether material or spiritual. Nevertheless, we have failed you when we do not rejoice in your goodness and when we forget to be thankful. Often, we have ignored you and been negligent when we do not give you the praise and adoration that only you deserve.
Father, please forgive our ingratitude. Give us eyes that can see your caring hand working in every aspect of our lives and help us to realize that every good gift and every perfect gift is from you. And produce in us a deep gratitude so we can serve you with great joy and with all our heart. We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (2 Corinthians 1:21-22)
Leader: It is God who makes us stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore, let us as sure one another of God’s pardon.

All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Thanks be to God.
PRAYER OF ILLUMINATION
Spirit of God, speak once again through the Words of Scripture that our listening ears may hear Your voice. Help us to place Your Word in our minds, treasure it in our hearts, choose it with our wills, and live it through our bodies. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.

1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.
5 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.
11 They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.
CARING
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
14 The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
Leader: This is the word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God!
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
OFFERTORY
My God, My King, Thy Various Praise arr. Ralph Vaughan Williams Chancel Choir
My God, my King, Thy various praise Shall fill the remnant of my days; Thy grace employ my humble tongue Till death and glory raise the song.
Thy truth and justice I’ll proclaim; Thy bounty flows an endless stream; Thy mercy swift, Thine anger slow, But dreadful to the stubborn foe.
Let distant times and nations raise The long succession of Thy praise, And unborn ages make my song The joy and labor of their tongue.
But who can speak Thy wondrous deeds? Thy greatness all our thoughts exceeds? Vast and unsearchable Thy ways, Vast and immortal be Thy praise!
Please stand, when indicated, for the Doxology.

Genesis 2:1-3 NIV
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

WALKING BESIDE MINISTRY

“Scripture tells us that the Lord sometimes allows us to be ‘sifted’ for greater service. In other words, He may give Satan permission to affect an area of our life and thereby transform us into stronger witnesses for Him” like he did with Job.* If you’re going through a difficult time, let us share your burden. *From In Touch devotional, September 21, 2022

Our team members are available to listen, encourage, and give you hope. Call any one of us for a phone conversation, a visit, or meet for coffee.
