A warm wind blows, the days get longer and suddenly there’s an eagerness to make change. For thousands of years, cultures around the world have collectively felt this urge. “Spring cleaning” and similar rituals have evolved in many corners of the world as a way to renew our lives with the start of the Spring season. So, how will we take advantage of these feelings this year? How will we renew our prepared environments as Montessori parents? How will we look with fresh eyes toward our children? Can we improve our relationship with the natural world around us? I hope that this issue of Joyful Seasons helps you begin to contemplate and answer these questions for yourself. It is my great hope that these pages will be the fertile ground for your Spring plans. Go plant seeds of connection with your family. Go plant literal seeds!
