Golf Tournament supports the ALEA
GOLF TOURNAMENT HELD TO SUPPORT ALEA CELEBRITY PLAYER BURTON GILLIAM VOLUNTEERED HIS TIME TO SUPPORT THE ALEA.

From left are Clark Miller (member of Anna ISD School Board), Trina Warrick, Anna Police Officer Wesley Davis, celebrity guest for the golf tournament Burton Gilliam of the “Blazing Saddles” movie, Anna Police Officer Seth McDaniel, Kelly Patterson-Herndon and chief organizer for the golf tournament Kim Chistiansen. Officer Seth McDaniel, president of the Anna Law Enforcement Association addressed the group gathered after the tournament was finished and express gratitude for the support shown by Anna residents and others.

It’s important to the officers to have good relationships with the community. McDaniel said, “The association allows us to be more informal with the public so we may be seen as people just like them.”
McDaniel expressed his thanks to Christiansen for doing all of the planning and leg work for the first annual golf tournament, and for being a great supporter of the association. “Covid prevented us from having as many teams as we would have liked, but there will be many more

opportunities to come out and meet your local police officers in an informal setting.”
Several of the officers were on hand during the tournament to shake hands and show gratitude for the support.
Among them was the association’s Vice-President Cole Dotson. He said being a part of the Anna Law Enforcement Association gives him an additional opportunity to help the community and that means a great deal to him. “I can not wait to start working with the people and building an even stronger relationship,” Dotson said.
