This is a day the Lord has made. Let's rejoice and be glad.

While we honor mothers on one day in May, let's remember to appreciate them daily. Hug your mom if she’s with you and tell her how much you love her. If your mom isn’t around, honor another mother you know. Show love through a smile or hug; it can mean so much. Mothers face many unseen struggles, and your kindness might make a big difference in their day. We can use our Lord Jesus as a good model of motherly love. When he was dying on the cross he gathered enough strength in his tormented body to say to his Mother “Woman behold your son” and to his disciple, John, he said, “Behold your mother”.

This indicated that Jesus was ensuring Mary would be cared for after his death, and John would take on the role of a son in her life.

GI: How did you transcend from Family Practice to a compassionate and dynamic mental health advocate?

It all started with an epiphany during my years in family practice. I noticed that many of my patients were struggling with physical ailments that stemmed from underlying mental health issues. It was a wake-up call; I realized that addressing these deeper concerns was crucial for their overall well-being.

But the challenge was daunting. Access to mental health providers— especially those who shared similar backgrounds as my patients—was incredibly limited. Many felt unheard and unrepresented. This realization ignited a fire within me. I knew I had to step up and become the advocate my community needed.

With unwavering support from my family, I made the bold decision to return to school and pursue my certification as a BoardCertified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (BC PMHNP). This journey wasn't just about education; it was about transforming lives.

I wanted to break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a space where individuals felt safe to express their struggles. Today, I stand not only as a mental health and family practice provider but as a person on a mission to empower others to prioritize their mental health, proving that healing often begins with a conversation.

The 1980s were pivotal for Gospel music, with artists like Rev. James Cleveland, Andre Crouch, The L.A. Mass Choir, Milton Brunson, Tramaine Hawkins, The Winans, and The Clark Sisters shaping its sound. Keith Pringle also rose to iconic status during this influential era.

Keith Pringle has consistently achieved success since his earliest recordings, such as "I Feel Like Going On" and "When All God's Children Get Together," topping Billboard's Gospel Charts.

He earned a GRAMMY® nomination for the single "Call Him Up" from his debut album "True Victory," which he recorded with The Pentecostal Community Choir, an ensemble he founded.

Additionally, his proficient musical abilities were recognized and employed by the esteemed Rev. James Cleveland.

Pringle released music until 2010, then took a hiatus from recording. He has returned to release a new version of "Perfect Peace," written by Rudolph Stanfield, Jr. and initially released in 1984 on Pringle's album PERFECT PEACE. Featuring vocals by Minister Paul Parker and produced

by Ronald Lee, the new "Perfect Peace" is now available on all digital music platforms.

"I loved this song when it was introduced to me, and I still love ministering this song now," Pringle explains. "Music is my passion; it’s my ministry. Choirs and great choir music are still needed in ministry!" He adds, "I love God, and I love people and am grateful to be able to continue to use my gift."

"Perfect Peace" is released by Ronald Lee’s independent label and production company, Leeboy Entertainment. Lee has carefully fused the original song with a West Coast sound, creating a fresh and modern feel while preserving the anointing and power of the classic version. The timeless lyrics serve as a reminder of God's promise to keep those whose minds remain focused on Him in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

His independent music career began in 1979 with the Pentecostal Community Choir and the album True Victory, which earned him a Grammy nomination for "Call Him Up." DOE's music features a combination of neo-soul, contemporary gospel, and various other sounds, showcasing her skills with multiple instruments. DOE composes her own music and has worked with producers such as Daryl Howell.

She has received several GRAMMY nominations and has won two GMA Dove Awards. DOE continues to release new music, including "Holy Hands," and is currently on tour.

A Spiritual Connection TRUE WORSHIP

When I consider worship, I think of those who have a sound that pierces darkness and places us right in the presences of the true and living God. Not in the presence of a performance but in the absolute presence of He who was and is and is to come.

One form of worship is music in which the lyrics speak of His majestic greatness and honors Him for being who he is; the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, our Rose of Sharon, the Prince of peace, the Lily of the Valley, our bright and morning star and He who sits high and looks low. Worship is a posture that lifts Him up above anything and anyone who ever was.

John 4:23-24 NLT says “But the time is coming – indeed it’s here now – when the true worshipers will worship the Father is spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way”.

God help us to be the one the Father is looking for and the one He find worshipping Him that way. Help us to be the one with clean hands and a pure heart and a sincere depth of gratitude for who He is. Help us to be the one who knows that all of our good deeds are like filthy rags in the presence of His majesty. True worship happens when our lifestyle parallels the songs we sing about. It happens when we forego leaning on our gifts and talents and instead, we lean on the everlasting Lord. It happens when we surrender our will for His will and acknowledge that we know nothing and can do nothing without His Holy Spirit leading us and guiding us.

“But the time is coming – indeed it’s here now…”. It’s here now! I am neither judge nor jury, but, when I hear the sounds of the likes of Cee Cee Winans and many others, I believe it’s here now.

Song after song Cee Cee lifts Him up by articulating His greatness as our helper and Shepard acknowledging how our life is better when we are following Jesus. The time is here now. The time to recognize how the “Goodness of God” has been running after us and to examine if we have been running after God. Our mission is to change directions if we have been running after anything or anyone other than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

True worship tells Him how Holy He is and how Holy He will always be. It says, “Your name is the highest, your name is the greatest, your name stands above them all. All thrones and dominions all powers and positions your name stands above them all.” Those lyrics ride on the pure melodious voice of someone who dwells in His presence. The time is here now. As we move into uncertain times, how comforting is it to know that “He” will always be!

To sum it up, true worship is more than just singing songs or attending a service — it’s a deep, personal, and ongoing response to who God is and what He has done. What true worship means is after all of the songs are sung, the bottom line is this: True worship is a matter of the heart that begins internally. It is not just outward actions, but a heart fully devoted to God. No man can know the heart because the scripture tells us it is deceitful and desperately wicked. Here in lies a good reason for us to examine ourselves. That is a full time responsibility. Worship must be in spirit which means it must flow from a sincere heart and spiritual connection. Worship must be in truth which means grounded in the truth of God’s Word.

Worship is also a lifestyle, not a moment. True worship isn’t confined to Sunday mornings. It is made clear by how we live every day. Romans 12:1 says, “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” It is our responsibility to live in a way that honors God. We must surrender our desires, plans, and actions to His will.

It is important that we exercise obedience over performance. God values obedience more than rituals or performances. 1 Samuel 15:22 says, “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” True worship says, “Yes, Lord,” even when it’s uncomfortable. True worship exemplifies gratitude and reverence. Worship involves thankfulness for God’s grace and awe of His majesty.

Hebrews 12:28 – “Let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”

Worship is All About God, Not Us. True worship shifts the focus away from us and onto God — His glory, His holiness, His love. True worship is making a spiritual connection with the creator of the entire universe and finding and fulfilling the purpose for which He created us.

by Percy Bady This month’s theme is so appropriate for this moment in time! The church at large finds itself in a identity crisis. There are so many different narratives being spun on Worship. Yet no one is acknowledging that anyone can praise but not everyone can worship! Aye!!!! Wait now Dr. B what are you saying? Lol…I’m saying that praising God doesn’t require you to be in fellowship/ relationship with him…as it is a universal act of acknowledging and honoring a higher power, regardless of religious background or belief.

The children of Israel after being delivered from Pharoah, broke out in praise when they crossed the Red Sea & the waters which were parted began to engulf pharaohs army!

But afterwards when Moses went to consult with God, because of his absence they reverted back to old habits! Why? Because the praise was definitely only tied to a happening & not to their relationship (worship) with God Almighty!

Worship in its truest & most purest form is your lifestyle…How you live, treat others & spend time in Gods presence. It’s not a song, a beat nor a chord! Yet these things are ALL used to point people to an experience with our ONE TRUE KING! GOD, the creator of ALL THINGS is a spirit! And they that worship him must worship in spirit & truth John 4:24 Worship at its core requires a relationship. It grows from true intimacy with the father. The Psalms are both the hymnal and the prayer book of the Bible, which has made them the go-to resource for the church’s worship. Psalm 95 might be considered THE worship Psalm in the Book of Psalms. There we are invited, “O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving. O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!”

You see that repeated word “come?” The living God invites us to come into his presence repeatedly! The word “worship” in Psalm 95 is a word that means “put your face on the ground.” Really?

Literally? Maybe. Why not? When you come before the Lord your maker, come in reverence, wonder and awe, for the Lord is a great God in whose hands are the depths of the earth and the heights of the mountains. He is God & forever his truth shall reign! There is no end to him!

He was in the beginning & shall be in the end. That alone deserves respect, honor & worship!

This leads me to a question I often ask, how can you sing about someone you don’t spend time with? No intimacy, no proximity & no dialog. Singing about/to God requires more than your ability to sing, create a melody & or play an instrument.

Worshipping God requires us to see him as our EVERYTHING! Our source, strength & soon coming king.

It is impossible to know him without time spent in his word. Unpacking the mysteries of the holy scriptures. Yes time spent in Gods word is an act of worship…the scriptures reveal God to us in ways that are undeniable. So in closing worship requires a life connected to the songs we sing, play & create. True worship is also sacrificial…

This invites each of us to ask ourselves, “Is my worship accompanied by sacrifice?” That is, when we examine ourselves, what do we see? “Present your bodies a living sacrifice,” said Paul (Romans 12:1). “You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices,” said Peter (1 Peter 2:5). The Scriptures are teaching us loud and clear: there is no true worship without accompanying sacrifice.

Whatever the Lord calls us to do, we must do it. Whatever worship the Lord commands, we must give it. In this way, we will be sacrifices, and will be bringing sacrifices that can be accepted (Genesis 4:5-7). Let us lay it all on the altar. Let us inconvenience ourselves. Let us be like Abraham. By doing so, God will count us among those the Lord called “true worshippers” and what better title could there be?

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 KJV

Who’s doing what, when, and where in and around the gospel music industry Bishop J. Drew Sheard’s 4-year anniversary as Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) was celebrated on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis, TN. The event was called the Inaugural Celebration and was a time to honor Presiding Bishop Sheard as he began his next term. In January The Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) presented a Virtual Celebration honoring Bishop J. Drew Sheard on his 66th Birthday, and re-election as Presiding Bishop.

Bishop Sheard is married to multi-Grammy winning artist, Karen Clark- Sheard (The Clark Sisters).

Marvin Sapp was recently in the news over a misinterpretation of his words while he was taking up offering at the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World 2024 National Convocation. Sapp was vilified on the internet and received threatening messages at his church from people who were angry over a video clip that showed him telling the ushers to “close the doors.”

After appearing on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell, CBS News Texas and WFAA Fort Worth to add context and clarity to the video clip, Sapp is now turning that “momentary affliction” into an affirming message with a new single titled “Close the Door.”

In the song, written by Sapp and Kolten Perrine, and produced by Rodney East, Sapp recounts the harrowing last few weeks and sings: Close the door on anxiety, on the pain and disdain that keeps chasing me, Close the door on the ridicule and on the noise that tries to make me lose my cool…God has a purpose, He will restore…

Though I’m hurting, I’m still hoping, My victory is worth fighting for, So I close the door…

Sapp posted about the single on social media, saying “’Close the Door’ isn’t just a song, it’s a soundtrack for survival…I’m closing the door on the noise, the pain, and everything that tried to break me. This song will bless you. The overwhelming audience response made her an easy choice to return for this year’s Easter celebration CeCe Winans will host the 4th annual Generations Live! Stormzy, an English-Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter increasingly vocal about his faith, read from the Psalms on stage. This highlighted his personal connection to faith and showed how gospel influences enrich mainstream music, attracting a broad audience.

Premier Gospel Radio organized a stage at SXSW London 2025, marking an important moment for UK gospel music. SXSW has been one of the most significant global festivals since 1987, starting with 700 attendees in Austin, Texas, and growing to over 340,000 people today. When We Worship

You have to come to know God for yourself and not for other people. Everybody has their own journey to God, the journey teaches us how to connect with him in day to day living. As well as our worship to him and with him.

When you have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and not just a formal religion worship can be so enjoyable.

Oftentimes I am amazed at the lack of desire among believers in Jesus Christ aka Christians, members of the Church when it comes to preparing in advance for congregational worship for a Sunday morning service or any particular sacred gathering.

We go to great lengths and detail preparing for various activities, meetings and special days but does our time of Worship receive equal attention.

Worship is not always about clothes, or how pious we look. It's not about what is on you but what's in you. Real worship occurs when the believer's focus is on God and His Divinity.

We can worship by communing through prayer, listening to the word, obedience to God's Word, praising through singing, paying your tithes, giving your service, meditation. It is an inward attitude that becomes an outward expression.

Worship can be boisterous or quiet, there can be versatility in worship because worship is cannot be done without reverence.

God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth. God is not limited to time and space, no geographical boundaries can hinder us from connecting with Him. We who are born of the spirit can commune with God at anytime and anywhere.

Worship strengthens us personally in our spiritual walk and unites us corporately in the family of faith. It's universal for us as believers. We may not all speak the same language, our customs and culture may be different but there is one lord, one faith and one baptism and through his Spirit we can become one in fellowship with the body of Christ.

Isn't it good to know that there doesn't have to be only one designated place and time for Worship. If I couldn't make it then I would miss worship but God wants that pure worship from the heart with no limits, no boundaries, no empty rituals.

Mrs. Johnson will be entering the hospital this week for testes.

The choir will meet at the Larsen house for fun and sinning.

Next Thursday, there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

The Complexities of Mother’s Day:

Embracing All Experiences

As Mother’s Day approaches, our society prepares for one of the year’s biggest consumer holidays. In 2023 alone, Americans spent over $31 billion on gifts, flowers, and dining out to honor mothers. Yet beneath the glittering surface of the celebration lies countless personal stories and experiences that compose the complex tapestry of motherhood. For example, Have you ever wandered through the card aisle, of a store overwhelmed by the multitude of options of cards that describe the AMAZING attributes of your mom...,Or conversely, have you felt a knot in your stomach as you searched for a card, conflicted by the need to be honest about your feelings and the reality of your relationship?

For many, Mother’s Day is a poignant reminder of both love and loss, joy and pain—a reality that deserves to be acknowledged and understood.

The Joyful Celebration Consider Lisa, a woman in her thirties who has always had a loving relationship with her mother.

Every year, she looks forward to Mother’s Day as a time of joy and gratitude. She recalls the laughter shared over brunch, the heartfelt gifts exchanged, and the cherished memories created together. Her mother is her world. For Sarah, this day is a beautiful reminder of her mother’s unwavering support , commitment and love. It’s a celebration steeped in warmth, reflecting the bond they share.

The Painful Reality Now, let’s turn to Kevin who has a vastly different experience. Growing up, his relationship with his mother was fraught with emotional turmoil and trauma. Kevin often felt neglected, and the words spoken in anger still echo in his mind today. As Mother’s Day approaches, he grapples with feelings of resentment, rejection and sadness. To him, this day serves as a painful reminder of what he longs for in a mother but cannot have—a nurturing relationship with the woman who brought him into this world.

A Day of Mixed Emotions These two stories illustrate the reality that Mother’s Day holds different meanings for different people. While some celebrate love and connection, others confront deep wounds and unresolved pain and trauma. Some individuals have lost their mothers to death, others are estranged, and some have experienced trauma that makes the day feel unbearable.

It often emphasizes consumerism, encouraging extravagant displays of affection through gifts. You are not condemned for working through your emotions, whether they lean toward gratitude or grief.

In Psalm 34:18, we are reminded, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This verse serves as a comforting promise for those who find Mother’s Day difficult. It invites us to bring our feelings before God, trusting that He understands and walks alongside us in our journey of healing and understanding.

Encouragement for Reconciliation and Boundaries For those yearning for reconciliation, Mother’s Day can be an opportunity to reach out, but it’s essential to approach it with wisdom and care. If your relationship with your mother is strained, consider what boundaries may be necessary for your emotional well-being. Engaging in open and honest conversations, when appropriate, can pave the way for healing.

On the other hand, if your relationship is marked by trauma, it’s okay to prioritize your mental health. Forgiveness is a powerful tool, but it doesn’t mean you must tolerate hurtful behavior.

Allow God to guide you in this process, helping you to find peace and freedom from past wounds.

Appreciate and Uplift For those with positive relationships, consider how you can uplift and appreciate your mother beyond just one day. A simple “thank you” or an unexpected gesture of love can mean the world. Our mothers, regardless of their imperfections, often pour their hearts into their families.

Establish a new habit of appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifice and blessing of a mother.

You are here today because of them regardless of their strengths and imperfections. You have the opportunity reframe or build upon your experience with your mother.

For all women blessed with the opportunity to "mother" remember that your role is significant and impactful. Every day is an opportunity to become the best version of yourself and to rewrite the script of motherhood. Apologies, forgiveness of your mother, forgiving yourself and even therapyfor trauma and negotiating challenging life stories may be a part of your job. As Proverbs 31:28 reminds us, “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” Strive to embody love, grace, and strength, knowing that your efforts shapes lives.

Embrace the Journey Ultimately, Mother’s Day is just one day on the calendar, a man-made construct that cannot encapsulate the entirety of motherhood or the complexities of maternal relationships. It serves as a reminder to learn, love, and grow every day of the year. Allow God to walk with you through your unique experience, whether it be one of joy, heartache, or a mixture of both.

In this season, let us honor all mothers while acknowledging the varied experiences we each bring to the table. You should NEVER be bullied into celebrating a holiday that you are working through mentally and spiritually. Allow Gods grace and peace to wash over you. Don't play a comparison game. Your experience with your mother or being a mom is uniquely yours.

Embrace your journey, cultivate healing, and strive for mental, emotional and spiritual fortitude.. Remember, every day is an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ in our relationships, nurturing not only our own spirits but also those around us.

Homework: Application for Living 1. If you engage a conversation around Mothers Day or any holiday, simply ask people "What does this holiday mean to you?" This allows you the opportunity to learn about a persons unique experience.

2. Be compassionate and refrain from being a holiday bully. Don't shame people into feeling the way you feel about a holiday. Listen, love, support and encourage them.

3. I'm sorry goes a long way. Forgive yourself first and then, if applicable , apologize for things you may have done when you weren't the best version of yourself . Acknowledgement goes a long way but remember you don't get to "direct" the response. Do your part and let God do HIS. Sometimes a letter may be more effective than a conversation. Seek guidance from God. 4. Step up your gratitude game if your mom was a great mom. Don't take her for granted. Show more appreciation for her EVERYDAY! She is worth it.

5. If necessary- Therapy works!!! Get help to identify those "blindspots" in your life that may prevent you from being a great mother or reconciling with your mom.

6. If you have worked on being a great mom...continue the AMAZING work! It's hard but know that you are truly a gift from God with all of your strengths and weaknesses. GOD SEES YOU! 7. If you are waiting on God to be a mom...Keep believing HIM for it!

8. If God has given you the unique opportunity to "mother" someone that is not your birth child...that is a blessing! Your "mothering matters"....Happy Mothers Day to you.

Remember life can be complex consisting of straight paths and countless detours but be encouraged beloved that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. As the body of Christ, let's be mindful to exercise His relentless love, compassion and forgiveness towards hers dy ourselves and one another. I'm proud of you already!

As we transition from the gentle rains of April to the vibrant blooms of May, we are reminded that this month heralds a beautiful resurgence of life outdoors. May is not only a time for nature’s revival but also a month dedicated to celebrating the remarkable women in our lives, particularly on Mother’s Day. This special day is observed around the world, honoring mothers and maternal figures who shape our lives in profound ways.

While many rejoice in creating cherished moments with their loved ones, it’s important to acknowledge that for some, this day can be bittersweet due to the absence of their mothers. I am grateful to still have my mom by my side, and I strive to treasure every moment we share.

Mothers possess an extraordinary intuition, often knowing their children better than they know themselves. There’s something almost uncanny about how, just when I’m grappling with a challenge, the phone rings, and it’s my mom on the other end.

I genuinely cherish our conversations; she is not only my mother but also one of my closest friends. Even though we live in different states, we connect every day, and my day feels incomplete without our chats. We both share a love for seafood, and I often prepare dishes that delight her—one of her favorites being a hearty seafood chowder.

As you prepare to honor the incredible women in your life—be it your mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, or girlfriend—consider this special seafood chowder recipe. It’s a delicious way to show your appreciation for those you love.

Seafood Chowder Recipe Ingredients: 1 can of crab meat 1 package of shrimp 1 package of scallops 1 can of clams (or fresh, if preferred) 1 cup of chopped celery 1 ½ cups of chopped onions 2 cups of diced potatoes 1 cup of diced carrots 1 box of seafood broth (or chicken broth if seafood broth is unavailable) 1 quart of heavy cream Old Bay seasoning (to taste) 2 teaspoons of garlic paste A pinch of cumin May 2025

Instructions Begin by pouring the broth into a large pot and adding the diced carrots, potatoes, celery, and onions. Heat on medium.

To thicken the broth, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of flour.

Once the potatoes are halfway cooked, add the diced shrimp and clams.

Incorporate the spices, including Old Bay seasoning, garlic paste, and cumin, then pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently.

Allow the mixture to come to a slow boil before adding the crab meat and scallops, which only need a minute or two to cook.

Serve with garlic bread on the side for a perfect meal or appetizer to complement your Mother’s Day dinner.

Don’t Lose Yourself, Trying to Love Someone Else!

It's amazing what some of us will do for love. From abandoning our own dreams to compromising our lifestyles, and even doing things we swore we'd never do, all just to get someone's attention. Think about that for a second. How far have you gone just to get someone's attention?

It's amazing what some of us will do for love. From abandoning our own dreams to compromising our lifestyles, and even doing things we swore we'd never do, all just to get someone's attention. Think about that for a second. How far have you gone just to get someone's attention?

During the early stages of relationships, many of us fall short of true love. Before we fully commit, we often fail to ask important questions, accept inconsistent behavior, and allow the bare minimum to be acceptable. As a result, continued bad behavior becomes normalized, which is truly unacceptable. When the selection pool seems slim, instead of waiting on God, we lower our standards, values, and boundaries. We quickly forget the verse, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the LORD" (Proverbs 18:22), and instead become hunters of men.

We play games, position ourselves strategically, hoping someone will find us. In reality, we are the ones desperately searching for someone to be in our lives. By the time we reach this point, the man of our dreams may simply become a man who offers some companionship and checks off a few boxes on our list of ten things. Initial attraction can lead to hoping for more than what the person is willing to offer, resulting in chasing someone instead of mutual attraction. This is not ideal, especially when trying to establish a serious relationship.

In an unbalanced relationship, if not recognized quickly, you may lose yourself while trying to love someone who offers very little in return. It's like having your mental wires crossed and getting stuck in an unhealthy space of addiction. Most people will advise you to walk or run away as soon as you realize the situation is unhealthy and unbalanced. Unfortunately, many don't realize they are emotionally tied to another person, making it difficult to break free.

Moving forward in your life or any relationship, consider the following: · Never abandon your dreams for his. Someone who cares about you will support and encourage you. They will ask about your dreams and what's important to you. · Never beg for attention or basic self-respect. Pay attention to whether they are reaching out to you. Silence is a response. · Never compete with other women for his attention. If he's not choosing you every day, he doesn't deserve you any day. · Never silence your voice to keep the peace. Your opinions matter. Anyone who cares about you will listen and acknowledge your feelings and opinions. · Sometimes you have to walk away and teach people how to treat you. If you allow yourself to be accessible, there are no limits to how far you can get caught up in a relationship going nowhere. · Regain your self-respect and start chasing after the heart of God. Chase your goals! Understand your value and worth. Once you start praying, fasting, and loving God first, you will never have to chase anyone else. Whoever God has for you will come at the right time and place. But whatever you do, don't lose yourself chasing someone else!

Poor sales forecasting and poor planning activities could be the culprit. In one of our previous issues, we discussed the differences between budgeting and sales forecasting. 1. Preparation There's a significant difference between hoping to reach a specific sales amount and preparing for it. In Proverbs 6:6, "Go to the ant, you sluggard, consider its ways and be wise! Enhancing Your Understanding of Touch Points According to the Online Marketing Institute, converting a lead into a qualified prospect takes between seven to 13 touch points involving various forms of communication. Each form should be written to i) make the initial communication with the prospect, ii) build relationships, and iii) close the deal. The main thing to remember is to be consistent, use a personalized approach, and use a variety of social media outlets and platforms to communicate and engage with your prospects and former customers.

3. Diligence Implementing a well-written sales plan requires a lot of work. Those who work diligently to invest the time necessary to increase sales reap the benefits. Diligence is also known for reducing the feast-and-famine cycle (experienced by many entrepreneurs who do not put in a certain level of effort related to sales growth). Being proactive in this area puts business owners in the driver's seat. It helps them keep their pipeline filled with qualified leads. Diligence and other marketing and sales practices lend themselves to generating sales forecasts with more accuracy.

Proverbs 12:24 teaches that "The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful will be put under forced labor." That suggests that diligence is needed to become successful in any industry.

Diligence, combined with faith, not only pleases God but also shows God that we're willing to do what it takes to fulfill the vision or venture he has placed in our hands.
