OUR COMMUNITY MAKES IT HAPPEN! This year as we enter our 17th Celebration Village, we celebrate you –our community. YOU believe! YOU support! YOU come together with us, each year to support a ministry and a cause like none other! On behalf of the Board, Staff and Auxiliaries of Sanctuary Hospice, we wish to express our thanks to you! Having now served over 5500 patients and families since Sanctuary began, one thing is apparent…Sanctuary is a needed asset for North Mississippi. It would not be here without fundraisers like Celebration Village. Your attendance and your support do make a difference! Many special events are planned for this year that we hope inspire you as you enter the holiday season. Please come help us celebrate, beginning Wednesday, October 24th at the annual preview party. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and a delicious dinner by Romie’s will be served. General shopping will begin on Thursday and Friday from 10am to 9pm and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm. On Friday evening, the Sanctuary Hospice Junior Auxiliary will host the fourth annual Girl’s Night Out sponsored by OBGYN Associates and Sanders Clinic for Women. Expect vendor stations with pampering themes, heavy hor d’oeuvres, fabulous door prizes and of course—SHOPPING! Saturday morning will continue with a Brunch with Santa for the kids. For more details on all events, please call 662-610-5482 or visit the pages of this insert. As always, we wish to thank the many volunteers who make this event possible. Countless hours are given to ensure event success and a truly unique Christmas experience for our area. For all your hard work, we are deeply grateful. Thank you to each sponsor, vendor and shopper of Celebration Village. Because of you, the Sanctuary dream continues! We look forward to seeing you at the Tupelo Furniture Market, Building V for the 17th annual Celebration Village. BUSYLAD RENT-ALL
THE SPENCER GROUP offers its guests an uncompromising shopping experience with service they can believe in. The Spencer Group was started by Jim and Chad Spencer. We opened our first HomeStore in 2002. We now own and operate 11 HomeStores throughout the Southeast with our corporate office located in Tupelo, MS. Our Mission Statement: To achieve excellence as we provide products and services in a way that honors God and blesses our customers and employees. The Spencer Group would like to thank Sanctuary Hospice for everything they do to help and comfort patients in their final days. THE E. RHODES AND LEONA B. CARPENTER FOUNDATION
In 1948 E.R. Carpenter Co. was founded as a latex foam rubber distributor for the Goodyear Co. With one piece of cutting equipment, one salesman and one bookkeeper, Rhodes set up business selling to furniture and bedding manufacturers. Through these early years Rhodes investigated the possibilities of urethane foam. He soon recognized the potential of the new urethane foams and in 1956 as one of the first urethane foam manufacturers in the United States, launched production of foam for furniture and bedding applications. The company has grown to become one of the largest urethane foam producers in the world. Rhode’s belief in old fashion self sufficiency and independence led to his policy of eliminating as much dependence on outside suppliers as possible, acquiring ownership in oil fields and chemical facilities to control the quality of the raw materials critical to the production of polyurethane foams. The E. Rhodes Carpenter Foundation, founded in 1975, was renamed The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Foundation upon Leona’s death in 1982. The Foundation operates independently of and has no connection to Carpenter Co. The Foundation provides for grants to institutions which had close ties with Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter during their lifetimes and to organizations in communities where Mr. Carpenter established his early manufacturing facilities.
The Stubbs family and the employees of Busylad RentAll are proud to have been able to be a part of Celebration Village from the event’s beginning. Our family and staff understand and value the significance of having Sanctuary Hospice as part of our community. Thanks to those wonderful leaders who faithfully followed their dream and made it our reality. What a blessing we have received! Buddy, Mary, Erin, Sara Frances and Vandy Stubbs

There’s no place like home.
Rob and Leeann Lesley opened ROMIE’S GROCERY in Tupelo in May of 2005. Romie's Catering specializes in on-site cooking, frying, smoking and grilling for weddings, rehearsal dinners, private parties, corporate functions and so much more. Romie’s Catering serves Tupelo's best plate lunches, steaks, fish, burgers and weekly dinner specials, provides live music and covered patio. Rob and Leeann have three precious girls, Jesse Lee, Mary Lawson and Pinchy. This is their ninth year to prepare food for the Celebration Village Preview Party. They feel blessed to be part of such an amazing event. Most of the inventions and great ideas that are born in people’s minds and hearts never work. The Sanctuary Hospice House was a test project that had to have total community support. It’s a place to go and spend one’s last days on this earth. Can you imagine how hard and complicated and expensive this process is to care for your moth-er, father, son, daughter or yourself in the last days of life? We call the Sanctuary Hospice House “God’s Waiting Room For Heaven”. What a blessing it has been to our community. Harold Plunkett & his staff. have been the top ingredient to its success. They treat the patients and families with more love and attention than anyone could expect. The other ingredient is you, the Northeast Mississippi community. Sanctuary Hospice is funded by many people. Hard earned money and the Celebration Village is just one of the ways we all come together to share our charitable giving and every penny that it makes is deposited in Sanctuary Hospice. V.M. & Melanie Cleveland We salute your help in this venture that makes us all proud of Sanctuary Hospice.

2018 Celebration Village Mayor & First Lady
Mr. & Mrs. Reggie Rose Both born in small Virginia towns during WWII, Mr. and Mrs. Rose (Reggie and Dolores) both knew the value of hard work and the importance of family. A friendship that began at Bluefield College with his asking for help keeping his pants and shirts pressed, resulted in a marriage that has endured almost 60 years of taking care of each other, raising four children, assisting with numerous grandchildren, and a handful of great-grandchildren after settling in Tupelo, MS in 1977. Not only have they taken care of family, they have taken in world travelers, exchange students, missionaries, old friends, new friends, friends of children, flood and disaster victims, individuals who needed a hot meal or a hand up, helped the sick, the needy, the outcasts, the elderly, and n’er do well friends of their children. None of these people were helped or taken in because of any other reason but a deep heartfelt obligation to help their fellow man- a true answered calling of personal responsibility. Reggie, the son of a Baptist minister, worked for the Boy Scouts of America, early in his professional career. The birth of his children brought a change in professions, a move into the furniture industry, which he stayed with until his retirement after 35 years working for the Lane Corporation. During his time with Lane, he worked in finance, accounting, IT systems, and customer relations. His ability to see the future of technology brought about his accreditation of bringing the bar code system to the furniture industry. An avid gardener, Reggie became a Master Gardener, and later was certified to instruct Master Gardening classes. This led to hundreds of hours of community service in Tupelo as well as countless hours volunteering with Tupelo City Schools science classes. Dolores, the daughter of a policeman and a nurse, cooked, cleaned, fed, and helped raise her three younger siblings while her father worked days patrolling and her mother worked nights at the hospital. This early experience as a caregiver and nurturer, would serve her well later as she raised four children of her own. When her youngest child entered high school in 1987, she returned to college to earn her degree in social work then accepted a position with United Methodist Senior Services helping the elderly, and the families of those she served by leading an Alzheimer’s support group each week. Having been a member of most every women’s organization at their church during these years fulfilled the open space she had for helping others in the name of Christ. When the Sanctuary Hospice House was founded, they volunteered inside and outside with garden projects, planning for the future of the residents there, and most of all - Celebration Village. Vendors and volunteers alike followed their lead at move- in time every Autumn. The Roses care deeply about this project and selflessly dedicated months of work for a week every year toward the preparation and fine details of the opening day. They’ve searched far and wide for available feet and hands to assist with the move- in days, loading and unloading trucks, driving forklifts, backing of trailers, finding correct sales spaces, helping solve emergencies…. all for the genuine love and care of our senior community. It is with honor that we announce Reggie and Dolores Rose as the Mayor & First Lady of Celebration Village 2018!
