THE HARDWARE Ford’S Ecoboost v-6 turbo-charged Radical RXC

At the heart of every RXC beats a high-performance, low maintenance V6 engine. Radical offers two state-of-theart Ford powerplant options in the RXC road car, and both have been optimised by in-house engine division RPE and engine management partner AER to create a reliable, high-power yet low running cost powertrain. The Ford Cyclone 37 Ti-VCT engine fitted as standard is a 3.7-litre 24-valve V6 unit with twin-independent variable cam timing and sequential multi-port electronic injection, controlled by a bespoke Radical/AER Life engine management system as employed successfully on the SR3 SL roadster. A fly-by-wire throttle ensures immediate power and response and the car will meet full Euro 5 emissions compliance for markets across the world. Despite their racing specification the engine and gearbox service intervals are up to 10,000km. For even more performance select the awesome 3.5-litre, twin-turbocharged direct injection EcoBoost V6 engine, delivering 454PS for true hypercar performance whilst retaining all of the drivability, reliability and cost-effective ownership of its Cyclone counterpart. The V6 drives the rear wheels through an all-new bespoke RPE/Quaife seven-speed transverse gearbox that is low in weight and ensures the overall weight balance remains very close to that of an SR3. Featuring paddleshift and an integral Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing differential, gear ratios are quickly and easily changed from the side of the gearbox like current F1 design practice. The in-house developed paddleshift system allows full-bore, 50ms seamless upshifts and automatically blips the throttle for clutchless downshifts without the need to heel-and-toe.

plot twist An eleventh DRIVER is racing.

A celebrity RACING DRIVER will be unveiled in each new episode.

Who could it be? Our production team will suggest a new celebrity driver for each episode. This celebrity will not always be someone with tons of racing experience but, this person will have a competitive edge. These celebrities will be pulled from pop culture events such as MMA, SuperX, action sports, film & television. JOSHLLOYDMEDIA

Location Scouting (Each location represents a themed episode)

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Salinas, California There aren’t many tracks in the world with a turn as iconic as The Corkscrew. Flat out up a hill over a long straight, followed by braking hard for a slow left hander as you’re basically falling off a cliff? Yeah, it’s been the scene of some great racing over the years.

Daytona International Speedway Daytona Beach, Florida Like Indianapolis, Daytona is known to the general public more for its oval racing than its road course, but the 24 Hours of Daytona is one of the world’s finest endurance races. It’s where the GT40s began in earnest their legendary assault on Ferrari. It’s where someone like Paul Newman found himself drawn again and again. The braking zone from the high speed oval down into the first corner has caught more than a few drivers off guard over the years.

Circuit of the Americas Austin, Texas Built primarily for Formula 1 but also supporting events like concerts and the X Games, COTA is dominated by a very steep four story climb to the top of turn one, which is followed by a long downhill winding section. The track itself is great, and the facilities are among the best in the world, but watching the morning mist lift off of turn one is life-affirming.

Road America Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin The only thing that rivals the high speeds you’ll find at Road America is the rich character of one of America’s most traditional road courses. Open-wheel racing journalist Robin Miller says that Road America is “the best test of road racing in North America”.

Barber Motorsports Park Leeds, Alabama Over 60 years after the concrete was first poured for Willow Springs about an hour north of LA, Willow Springs remains a deceptively complex track. It’s bumpy, it’s technically demanding, and if you’re not prepared to steer your car with your pedals, you’ll never truly be fast here.

Utah Motorsport Campus Tooele, Utah One of only two acceptable reasons to go to Utah (along with skiing), This was the pet project of late Larry H. Miller. UMC is an auto, motorcycle, bicycle and kart racing facility located in the unincorporated Erda area just outside Tooele, Utah. It previously operated under the name of Miller Motorsports Park from 2006 until October 2015.

VIR - Virgina International Raceway

Martinsville, Virginia Your boss might play golf, but VIR is basically the country club where your boss’s boss goes to play. In its longest configuration, more than two dozen turns are spread out over four miles, including a tight right hander where an oak tree once stood. After 200 years, the tree fell last year, and it was so popular they’re working on cloning it, so you can grow your own.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Speedway, Indiana You can make a solid argument that Indy has more history than any other track on Earth. Most of that history is on the legendary oval, though, not the road course cutting through the middle of the infield past manmade lakes and a golf course. Still...it’s a road course at Indy cutting through a golf course, and that’s enough to make anyone’s bucket list.

Road Atlanta Braselton, Georgia A 2.54-mile (4.088 km) road course located just north of Braselton, Georgia, United States. The facility is utilized for a wide variety of events, including profes-sional and amateur sports car and motorcycle races, racing and driving schools, corporate programs and testing for motorsports teams. The track has 12 turns, including the famous “esses” between turns three and five; and Turn 12, a downhill, diving turn. Events include Petite Le Mans, as well as AMA motorcycle racing, and smaller events throughout the year.

Watkins Glen Watkins Glen, New York The spiritual home of Formula One in the United States has undergone many changes over the decades, evolving from a street course to a wide-open grand prix circuit. You want hallowed ground? Racing where people like Sir Jackie Stewart and Jim Clark won is a good place to start.

Sonoma Raceway - season finale Sonoma, California Known for decades as Sears Point and briefly as Infineon Raceway, Sonoma is a winding path in the middle of wine country just north of San Francisco. Its combination of rhythmic sweeping corners and long straights is irresistible even to NASCAR, which makes its drivers turn left a bit every year.
