It is with great excitement that we present to you our 3rd Annual Designer Genes Hereford Sale catalogue. Making this event better and better each year is a serious challenge for our sale team, but this year we think we have the ingredients for one of the best sale offerings in the history of the Hereford breed. If you don’t think this is possible, come and take a look for yourself. This year we kick off our sale offering a day early with the DGS Goes Global Sale, which takes place on the Friday night at 8pm. Over the past two years, a few international lots have taken pride of place in our DGS sale offering, but this year we knew we needed to go one step further. On offer will be genetics from the UK, Denmark, Canada, USA, Uruguay, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand. These genetics are from some of the world’s leading Hereford programs and have the potential to push your herd to the fore. Our Saturday sale offering starts with twist this year, and we are proud to announce that lot 1 in our Designer Genes Hereford Sale is none other than the UK Hereford Bull of the Year 2018 – Coley 1 Pilot. We have wanted to offer a herd sire prospect lot in the past but never plucked up the courage, so as soon as we set eyes on Pilot, we knew he was coming to Shrewsbury. This year’s offering contains some of the freshest genetics that the UK Hereford industry has to offer. Sale information... TERMS AND CONDITIONS Cattle will sell under the standard terms and conditions put forward by the breed society, Halls Auctions and the Livestock Auctioneer’s Association. These are available upon request. Cattle will also sell under the same warranty as used at official society sales. HERD HEALTH Information on the health status of each herd can be found at the back of this catalogue. Every animal in the sale has been TB tested within 60 days of the sale as well as BVD tested and vaccinated. Every animal at the event has been TB tested also. All cattle in the sale will be accompanied by a completed herd health declaration card which will be on display alongside each entry. Her ability to balance this femininity with performance and muscle pattern is something really special – and it makes us really excited about this heifer. We thought we better make a little addition to the previous Lily offering - we'll just add a bit of the Lucy line with the addition of previous Royal Highland Show Champion Romany 1 Heavyduty A84 H12 a son of the breed changing Romany 1 Lucy A49. Like all the heifers Romany have picked for your selection we feel the pedigrees offer you a chance to breed something special. We could repeat the history of this female line as written about for Lily BL R23 but suggest you have a wee scan back over it. Terms & Conditions Please note that cattle sold at Designer Genes Sale 2018 will be sold under the rules and regulations set out by the Livestock Auctioneers Association, Halls Auctions and The Hereford Cattle Society UK These can be found on their respective websites. Halls Auctions reserve the right to have the final say on issues arising from the sale. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash, cheque or wire transfers, payable at the sale location. Halls reserve the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Payment must be made in full before any sale cattle are released and shipped. BIDDING All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. Private sales will not be permitted DISPUTES In the case of bidding disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the involved parties in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final.
