Joseph Rallo
Joseph Rallo is the CEO at E.F. Hutton & Co., a firm he resurrected in May 2020. Under his leadership, the company became one of the most prolific IPO underwriters by deal volume in 2022 and early 2023. With 20 years of investment banking experience, Rallo has completed more than 500 transactions, totaling over $60 million in proceeds. His reputation for adaptability, leadership, and client focus has made him a respected figure in the financial industry. Rallo’s expertise spans a wide range of financial services, including initial public offerings (IPOs), special-purpose acquisition (SPAC) offerings, mergers and acquisitions (M&As), fixed-income placements, leveraged financing, restructuring and recapitalization, private funding rounds, and risk management. He began his career as a Summer Analyst in Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers. He later served as Vice President in the Financial Institutions & Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Citizens JMP Securities. Before founding E.F. Hutton, he was Co-Head of Global Investment Banking at Aegis Capital Group. At E.F. Hutton, Rallo and his leadership team built a modern, digitally driven broker-dealer headquartered in Manhattan. They focused on maintaining stability, transparency, and collaboration during challenging market conditions, ensuring consistent client service. Beyond his professional career, Joseph Rallo and his wife are active philanthropists, supporting causes that improve access to education, healthcare, and youth development worldwide. He serves on the boards of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, and the Rousseau Foundation. Joe Rallo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, where he played Division 1 Lacrosse and co-founded the Irish Fighting for St. Jude Kids. He also holds FINRA Series 24, 63, and 79 licenses and resides in New York City with his family.
