Roberto Clemente skate plaza's formal opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by local and state government officials on April 19. The Brentwood community collaborated diligently to help make it possible. It was a joy to be a part of what this community waited for!

It is essential for our community to raise awareness on breast cancer. The sheer number of programs available to everyone, regardless of health insurance status, was truly eye-opening. It was profound and illuminating to hear these brave survivors' touching testimonies.

I had the pleasure of participating the Brentwood High School Autism Walk on May 6. Numerous programs were present, including PRONTO, the Autism Society, the Long Island Student Advocacy, Long Island P.R.E.P., and many others.

I got the chance to celebrate Mother's Day on May 11 with our Brentwood seniors. Being a part of such a lovely and joyful celebration was a pleasure. All the working mothers are continuously appreciated for the amazing effort and dedication they put forth each day.

At the Roberto Clemente Park, Uplift Our Towns' annual Clean up the Streets event was a success. Every year, the community comes together to clean up the streets using the resources of numerous initiatives and the time-giving efforts of the locals.

It was an honor to attend in support of Touro Law Center's Public Advocacy Center and all the organizations encompassing such a helping office. Congratulations to Housing Help Inc., Brighter Tomorrows Inc., ECLI-Vibe Services, New Hour LI, Empire Justice Center, Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County, Nassau Suffolk Law Services, Suffolk County Bar Association, and Touro Law Center for such a great step forward in helping our minority communities!

In honor of Memorial Day, Brentwood held a parade on May 29. There were many locals, troops, and businesses in attending. The Town of Islip thanks you for facilitating our decision to have a Memorial Day parade every year in honor of all those who have risked their lives to defend our nation

Office of Councilman Jorge C. Guadrón July 2023 2ND Quarter 6

On June 5, this year's Puerto Rican Day parade was held, and it was a success! Numerous programs and businesses were in attendance, and the streets were packed with community members. Can’t wait to see next year’s turnout.
