Striving to Enhance the Community

We are fortunate to have many non-profit organizations in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and all South palm Beach County delivering critical services within our region . The important work of these non-profits and the professionals within them contribute to the unique fabric of all our communities . To recognize our non-profit members, we showcased them on the cover of this edition of the Connection Magazine .

Non-profit organizations thrive in prosperous communities. The Boca Chamber has been delivering on its mission to promote and sustain economic prosperity in our region for the past seven decades . That effort has resulted in a large and growing nonprofit community in South Palm Beach County that improves and changes lives .

Assisting in that effort is the robust corporate culture that Boca Raton enjoys . Half of Palm Beach County’s corporate headquarters are located in Boca Raton and these major employers play a key role in helping to deliver the critical missions of the non-profits.

Specifically, through the Chamber’s annual Boca Chamber organizations in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and Festival Days (BCFD), we connect our corporations with our non- all South Palm Beach County." profit members with the intention of creating a fund -raising event to support the worthy causes . for . The Chamber helps to facilitate these events and promotes them through our many communication channels . This year, BCFD events included music, comedy, dinner, tastings, game nights – and much more . To see pictures from these successful events, turn to page 13 .

At the beginning of the pandemic, the Chamber launched our Did You Know Campaign to promote our non-profit members and bring awareness to their critical missions. It has since transformed into our Let's Make a Difference Together campaign and has expanded to include specific opportunities to volunteer and promote their respective events. The program showcases two non-profit members each week and distributed to thousands of recipients throughout the region .

In a year still impacted by the challenges of the pandemic, the Chamber's Golden Bell Education Foundation continues to raise significant funds for our local public schools in Boca Raton. In the form of grants, over $100,000 was awarded at our September Monthly Membership Breakfast . To learn more about the schools that received funds and additional information about the Foundation, turn to page 14 .

Over this past year and a half, we have seen an increase in corporate relocation to Palm Beach County . Attracting these companies to our region is a combination of our pro-business environment, favorable tax system, world class healthcare, A-rated schools, well-maintained beaches and parks and overall unmatched quality of life . As one of the Chamber’s four core pillars – Enhancing our Community is at the forefront of activities championed by the Chamber .

Together, we continue to Move Business Forward in Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and South Palm Beach County, making our region the best place to Live, Work, Learn and Play .
