Modern Singapore River

The Singapore River is an important place for preservation of history of olden days of Singapore. A lot of initiatives like the installation of bridges,underpasses,improved lighting,lush greenery,refreshment areas, waterfront relaxation and dining to set in the mood was done to bring people back to the new and fresh Singapore River where people can be ready to create new memories when they are there. The Ministry of Environment mentioned in the 1980s that they would make it a target to be able to fish in the Singapore River in 10 years time. And in today's context, we are able to do that so thanks to the efforts of those who has been clearing the river and the goverment's initiative.
